Flowers are a complete waste of money --- especially right now when they are marked up 1000% .
I've done it begrudgingly in the past.
Your ex and I have something in common. I am also a plant giver. They keep living (sometimes). I always give my grandmother a nice houseplant on her birthday and at Christmas.
Haha I've been thinking about this all week ! The guy I'm seeing now always sends flowers. Dont get me wrong the thought alone is so sweet and I appreciate it but they're dead In a couple days!! I would just love a house plant ,I can keep it forever

I'm not a cap but I'm going to comment 😄I like getting flowers. I'm not someone who likes lots of keepsakes around me so the temporary beauty of flowers suits me well. Makes me smile for a few days.
I do NOT like house plants as gifts. It's like giving someone a pet. I do not want to be responsible for keeping it alive! 😛
It's cool. You're welcome to comment. All signs are welcome.
I just figured cap is the only sign that feels this way. lol!
Give them to me! I shall appreciate them, Let their aroma fill the space around me, wrap me in the pleasure of their sweet scents, marvel the beauty that only nature can create. Let me feel their delicate textures, so soft against my skin.
GIVE THEM TO ME! 🙂
You're all dead inside!

What is the best, sending flowers?or come at your place with flowers ?Even if the girl don't like flowers I will still came with it.
I think it is sweet if you came to the door with flowers. Very traditional. I like that.

Here's the only "flower" women need. Now STFU and get back to the kitchen.
I'd pour it over your head! lol!

Well, get plastic flowers then.

Cancer guy gave me a bunch of plastic flowers on our 2nd date. I kept it anyway.
One valentines day my ex Cap got me (a libran) a bunch of broccoli, said it was more practical. I had to agree with him, a gal needs her 5 a day _
Ironically as a Taurus, I don't like getting them either because they don't last. And I also have very particular and limited tastes in which flowers I do like.
If I really felt sentimental about ones I'd received, I'd dry them out and save them.
If youre tapping into my spiritual/earth side, things like wood, rocks, sand... They have a story. A history. Flowers are like breeding puppies when there are 10p dogs that need to be adopted. If I want fresh flowers and earth, I'll go frolick thru a forest.

I think it's a waste of money, honestly. I'd probably ravish him if he got me a tree to plant in my yard instead.Unless they're white roses. I dry them and make arrangements with antique green wine bottles in my house. In that case, there's a practical use for them.
Yup exactly 🙂

??_.. The gesture is so nice and romantic and I can't help feeling blessed that a man wants to do that for me. But, at the same time, I see between $ 50- $ 100 being wasted because they wilt and die after a few days. I'd much rather him spend money on a gift that I can keep forever or on an experience where I'll have the memory forever. Why not get both, I send flowers to my cappy 3-4 times a year including today. They get delivered to her office and I also give her Effy diamonds every year.
Today I got her another pair of earrings, and I??ll give them to her when we meet again. She has always thank me for the gift and says she likes them, however I've never seen her wear the jewelry that I've given her over the years. I wonder why? Can any Capricorn shed some light on this. I've never asked her either because once a give a gift the recipient can do whatever they want with it, but I've always been curious about this.
Because diamonds are flashy, not practical. The opposite of a Cap. And i can relate. I wear a subdued but artsy necklace and that's it. Next time, instead of giving more diamonds, give her a reason to wear them. 😉
The only flowers I've ever gotten have always come from Caps.
(hand picked and also sent)
Very sweet, a little traditional and always romantic..
Awww it makes me smile just to think about it 🙂
they are a very nice gesture, but yea... they die. as much as i appreciate receiving them, it kills me a little knowing they'll shrivel up sooner than nature had intended.
i'm slowly acquiring a green thumb and love indoor plants... the more the merrier. they can all be friends.

It's bad manners. My mother taught me that you should always wear what someone gave you within the next 2-3 times you see them so they know you liked it. Even if you don't like it, it shows good manners to wear it so they see it. She taught me, and I agree, that you should be gracious of a gift and make a point to display it.

They're probably from the dollar tree store.

Yeah! that's what I thought too.
My guy has given me flowers on several occasions.I find this as a sweet gesture of love but I prefer something that is nonperishable lol. i will prefer a home plant instead of a dead flower that loses its beauty within a couple of days

How about giving you plants? My cap mom told me she doesn't want flowers but plants.
Plants are good. They don't die, so they're not a waste of money. Plus, you can keep it for a long time.

Just curious if I am the only capricorn that feels this way. We are ever so practical to a fault sometimes.
I have mixed feelings on it. As a woman, I love it. The gesture is so nice and romantic and I can't help feeling blessed that a man wants to do that for me. But, at the same time, I see between $ 50- $ 100 being wasted because they wilt and die after a few days. It's funny because my ex husband wanted to be sweet and romantic and would send a flowering houseplant that would keep living (until I inadvertently killed it. lol! I'm horrible with plants). His female co-workers always gave him a hard time about the choice, but he knew me and knew I would like it.
So, guys, do you send flowers?
Girls, how do you feel about receiving them?
Does anyone else feel like it's a waste of money?
