Is this a little white lie or more?

The Cap had another show tonight, told me about it, and sent me the info, then said he'd prefer I didn't go to this one, as they were not the main attraction. 2 hours before he went on stage, I sent him a quick good luck message and a picture. His phone sends read receipts for pictures, so I knew he saw it. I don't hear from him until after the place closed (3 hrs after he played). He said his phone ran out of battery, he's home now, alone of course, and missed me.

However, he said his phone ran out of batter 45 mins before I got the read receipt. Now why would he feel the need to lie about that?

Mad gig, socialising, getting caught up in the atmosphere etc

He might have just miscalculated the timing in his head and isn't expecting you to literally analyse the crap outta the difference between 45mins and a read receipt... no lie just life

Or you could just ask him babette see what he says 🙂 ~x~

He was probably doing something and didn't want to upset you by saying he ignored your text for a bit in favor of whatever was going on atm

Maybe he saw it and was busy with the show and wanted to reply later when he actually had the time then ran out of battery.
