Maybe I'm still not over my cappy ex?

You'all know my story already 😛 so I'll spare you the details.

So, my cappy ex's mom called me out the blue today (her parents are still pretty fond of me and I love those people too) we had a really long convo, she seemed really interested in how I was doing, etc and told me all kinds of things too, in a way I felt again the bond I had with them when I was still with cappy, she also told me how she still has pictures of ours together in their house and how they reminded her of the good times, all in all..it made me pretty nostalgic, I hadnt cried in a long time but right after the convo ended I just couldnt help but cry. Just wanted to share that.

Its ok to feel. If you didnt still have feelings, you'd be a zombie. It's part of the process, dear 🙂

I've come to realize that you don't have to be completely over a person. It's okay to settle with lingering feelings, as I'm sure the both of you will always hold a special place in your hearts for each other, and that's the beauty of it all. You seem to be doing very good though Shaka. Don't let her mom bring you back to that place again lol.

Awww....but maybe you miss her family more than her?

Parents are like that..My exs parents all loved me and when the relationship ends even after years they say they wish we stayed together. (there are still family pics on the walls at their house)And I am very fond of my eldest daughters ex even though they didn't have a very good relationship and he is now married.

Also my ex is still welcome into my family and vice versa. But yeah it is strange, at this moment my brother is visiting with his family and my nephew has just met my SO and now he has asked if there is any chance he will get to see my ex husband...

You just have to understand that when you are in a relationship with someone for a period that the family become a part of that too so when it ends for you it doesn't register that it does end for them...
