Switching to console gaming can reduce expenses by eliminating costly hardware upgrades and compatibility issues. Consoles offer a lower upfront cost, simpler setup, and less maintenance, making gaming more affordable and less stressful for those tired of frequent upgrades. While they have fewer mod options, they provide a reliable gaming experience without draining your budget.

I don't know why you're constantly upgrading small parts. Hit newegg or something with the mean sales and build a brand new rig. Mine I made for around $ 650 and it'll run WATCH DOGS. Granted only on low and with minor issues, but I haven't tried to fix it yet with compatibility or anything.
Sounds good, but I don't know if it'll be any different than running it on a console.
Maybe Lucci. If you or anyone else thinks it's worth it to stick to pc than it maybe worth it. Hell a pc could outlast a console.
Well its what you want at the end of the day. Sure it may cost money for the pc stuff, but if it got quality & last longer, go with it. Listen to your heart & wallet on this decision lol
^^^Maybe so. I'll keep going back and checking through with what I need. But yeah. I might still get console, but just for games that are strictly console.
Right now I'm repairing my Alienware X51 (And that's been a issue). But I'm using an HP Probook as a replacement for the moment. Intel Core I3. 256gb hardrive. Intel graphics card, OS Windows 7, so yeah. I don't think a laptop works all that well for gaming.
I hope this helps.
^^^Probably. I got this thing back in 2011 when prices fell low enough at Wal Mart. So yeah this Probook sucks donkey dick.
Haha yeah bro. Right now I'll take a rain check on it. I'm repairing my X51 at the moment and depending on if it'll pull though I can check with ya. If it doesn't then I'll get a new tower and start from the bottom on building. Alienware is perfect for gaming, mine's just been having a lot of issues lately with overheating. When it first broke down I smelled smoke and it caught fire. A lot of damage got done.
NOOOOOOOO!!! I'ma be like Forrest Gump. I'ma go back and save Bubba. Nobody get left behind. But luckily everything I had on there is backed up on a external hard drive.
^^^ I'm just screwing with ya Lucci. I'll get a new tower when the funding comes through. It's gonna be a few paychecks though and me working full time over the summer and partially through the fall.
I had the two in mind. Cyberpower PC Gaming ultra- And Acer Aspire Predator gaming tower-
^^^Had me questioning it too.
How exactly would you make your own from groundup? I usually do prebuilt rigs and modify them to my standards, but never building on ground up like you say.

Well. After 5 years of complete hell in a hand basket, I'm going back to console gaming.
I feel your pain.
Thanks Cal. I'll bookmark that page and start my plans over the summer on what I'll do. So it sounds fool proof?
Mass Effect 3 ending is going to piss you off.

What's the hardest program spec wise you plan on running or game? I'll put together a list if you want.I always go as cheap as possible as well
Well I'm planning on getting Watch dogs and soon when Rockstar makes it happen, GTA 5.

Why what happened? I'll allow spoilers.
It's just not going to end the way you would expect. That EPIC ending to the first one makes this one's ending seem somewhat anti-climatic.
You could relate it to the way the matrix trilogy ended. I'm not saying it isn't worth playing... in fact the part right before the end is so intense that it's hard to believe you could survive! There are VERY POWERFUL enemies attacking from all directions so your in a constant state of panic because the threats are too much to contain within your field of sight in the game.
LoL come to think of it Mass Effect 3 was the last serious game I ever finished/played
Which Syndicate are we talking about? The original for Microsoft DOS that's real time combat and you're in control of four agents. Or the semi-shameful reboot that came out two years ago on both platforms and is a FPS?
Oh here's a funny Easter Egg that's in Watch Dogs-
CC you a noob 😛 I actually like strategy games. RTS and Third person shooters are the best for me. Just bloody love em. Metal Gear is only hard when set to hard mode. Other than that, being sneaky and stealthy is my forte.
Is this a Capricorn thing? Because I know how to fix computers a bit also and what not.

Ditto^^ Well..being sneaky and stealthy in MGS is my forte..in real life..not so much 🙂
Sigh...the shitty thing about getting older is there's not enough time to play games! Still have to finish Fallout New Vegas on my PC,.. and it's been an embarrassingly LONG time!
Damn...Watchdogs is out..?I remember seeing that trailer when Skyrim was released 😢
Another game I don't have time for!

Could be. I think PC's is a Air/Earth thing sometimes.
Also. I wanted to know. How exactly did you guys pay for the parts online. Credit? Debit?

Well. After 5 years of complete hell in a hand basket, I'm going back to console gaming. PC gaming is getting to expensive for me and draining a hole in the budget. Why would I want to spend $ 100 dollars on replacing my graphics card between Nvidia and Intel processors? Why would I want to switch out my GPU all together just to suit the needs of one fucking pc game. I'm up to date when it comes to my software. But I recently tried to play Mass Effect 3 on my pc and apparently my pc doesn't meet the needs of that damn game. That and hardware compatibility issues that can't be solved by Compatibility mode. After my recent census on my budget. I found out that over the past 5 years. I spent $ 3,152 dollars on upgrading my computer between gaming, bigger hard drive, staying up to date with tech, and some other reasons. Now, I like pc gaming for mod ability and more open community's. But I shouldn't be spending that much in over 5 years. There's no reason to do so. I know regular console gaming is something but you're not always allowed to mod games, especially on Xbox. That's the reason why I got booted the first time around. Still though something in me objects to the change. Do you think it makes sense with the way I've spent money on upgrading my pc in exchange for something like a console that has lower capability but isn't a hassle to upgrade? Even with a 400gb hard drive, it's still taking a lot of space.
