Understanding a male cap at work - mixed signals!

So this 25yo cap and i had chemistry for the last couple of months ever since he first came in. I always saw him looking at me, the way i dress etc. He started conversations and beat himself in the chest like a peacock talking about having boring dates with girls younger that him etc - total peacock.

Has a nice sense of style , slightly arrogant and very much ambitious.

After one convo and me going on a date he said let me know how it goes so i added him on facey and we talked after, the conversation lead to us saying we shall drink the next day. We had office drinks and got pretty chummy, with some people seeing us getting flirty. When we were left alone things got steamy etc and we ended up really drunk at my place, no clothes came off but we obviously fooled around. We both said we pretend nothing happened, he gave me a kiss and left (just a statement, we didn't really talk about what happened).

After that i saw him about a week later and he totally stared me down while walking past, then asked me things like what bike he should get and starts friendly convos, but that's about it. We had a couple chats on facey after both starting a conversation and then him joking i was on another date and i said at least someone's asking (my idea of a hint). No more facey chats and yesterday he came in, said hello to people, walked past my desk and touched the middle of my back when asking me how i am and having a quick chat.

I'm quite happy ignoring him and just talking to him when he talks to me but i am attracted to him and i would love to go out with him if he out some effort in. Which hasn't happened but these little things he does make me confused. Help?

Just to add - i'd love to be friends right now and after some time if something develops then go for it.. but i don't want him thinking my attention or me asking him to do something is me trying to date him :/

When a Cap likes ya, he will definitely make it known to you and make plans.

It sounds like he's indulging in a little office flirtation. If you're fine with that and don't want to wait, you'll probably have to ask him out. Try suggesting something casual, he'll probably join you.

I've messaged him about something funny at work today and we had a bit of a chat then i said we should play that video game at the arcade we talked about (before we nearly hooked up) and he said he's up for it just when he gets more time. The whole convo was a bit dry to be honest, i feel like he was more into talking to me before the thing happened, so my natural reaction now is to ignore him alltogehter... feel like i got shut down tbh but then he gets to slide a hand over my back like we're tight. Guys ugh...
