You see DB, look what happened to CILWL, she can't paste the pic either. Also, that is a real article about a new "Got Milk?" ad campaign. Sheeesh, I hate when ppl think I'm just kidding around.
Anyways, you're not going to get away that easy, I was just giving you a break. So what is your take on why women in America walk around w/fake smiles but aren't happy, what are they (note..excluding me) missing?
Well, I do think that is true, I was born with less rights. I went to grammar school in a boarding school where my subjects were Religion, Singing, Embroydery, Etiquette & Posture. Women were to walk behind men, eat after the men, and generally keep quiet and pretty. No lie, really. Of course I was in trouble a lot, cause I was naturaly very good in math and could outsmart the nuns just for fun, their minds were so easy to figure out. They just never realized I was playing them until much after the fact and then I would just bat my eyes and play dumb. tee hee hee.
I still don't think bags are good, ever, and whilst women may work much harder just to come closer to equality, it does bring a better balance when women's voices are heard and allowed to effect outcomes.
"Just a matter of perspective" I can see that, but equal rights does not necessarily equate with careers, career women have more stress and feel to pressure to keep up appearences, but that is their choice and they have no one to blame but themselves if they are not happy. The whole point of equal rights is to have the ability to choose.
There have been a lot of women as leaders of their countries, and I dare say they have had just as much if not more respect than men. Don't misunderstand, I don't think all women should be presidents, god help us. I just think some women can and have been leaders.
I do agree to a point with you DB, just not to extent you do.
As for sex lib...not all men will see you as sex objects, for the most part if you are a professional and don't flirt and only allow the few men in a lifetime who really love you to bed you, men will respect you as a good woman.
Sex lib just means you don't have to be married to have sex and you don't have to be a virgin to be happily married.
Capgirl-ILWL, I'm in the west too... and a single mom. I know what you mean about hard to find good men. I don't put myself in situations like that, I really am a home body and I don't make eye contact unless I know that man really well through work or play and when I get to feeling like they are closing in, I let them know immediately, "not interested".
The true luvs in my life I found my accident when I least expected it, and it always began with mutual respect, then good friendship and finally, the good stuff. 🙂
Yes I agree, too many ppl want that instant gratification, but ultimately, they are the unhappy ones, they might talk up quite a picture, but just listen to them, they are not happy. I think it gets back to spiritual strength, everyone has their flaws and if we look past the "little" stuff, we are rewarded with deep meaningful relationships.
I've heard that one... Oh... I've got one where our client- the humane society- is being sued for spaying a dog which was surrendered by an apparent owner who had it for a year; the plaintiff lost possession of the dog like 2 years prior (hence the intervening owner who brought it in). Humane society still scanned for a microchip and only found one after spaying, it wasn't even registered to the Plaintiff herself but to her vet, and humane soc. went a step further and called not only the vet but then the Plaintiff who only then found out that her long lost dog of 2 yrs. missing had been brought in....Wasn't concerned about the spaying, and only that it wasnt going to be killed then w/o notice, sues for tens of thousands of lost income in breeding! AND she owns like 10 other of these ugly things (tibetan spaniels).
and even if it was a male friend- it would not be 'beau' but rather 'bel'-- the french will not allow word ending in vowel sound to butt up against one beginning in a vowel!
I mean about dirty talk and having fun. Not like having sex. Me? No, never did that..
