Same. I like that it's more dense than commercial ice cream and doesn't melt quite as quickly, but that's about it. I'm not a huge fan of the thick, elastic texture. It's a lot lighter on the palate, but I don't consider it superior to ice cream (the high quality, homemade kind, not the supermarket variety). They're very different.
Personally, if I'm going to have a cold dessert, I prefer it being extra rich and creamy. Frozen custard > ice cream > gelato for me.
We are discussing the brand gelato here, right? The Italian one?
Not whatever Murica invented to be funny. If you see any bacon flavored one..you're on the wrong continent homie.

indeed
There's tiramisu gelato ::: just saying
Gelato gelato gelato! Although usually small local places owned by a family have the best!
I'm going to come out and say it, the best gelato is in Italy --
Thick, rich, smooth. Commercially, gelato kicks ice cream's butt.
But homemade ice cream (well churned and with heavy cream) beats both of them, IMO.

Talk to me... is gelato any good?
Or is it glorified frozen yogurt?
