Perfect meal?

So, my best friend's going into the Army, and I couldn't be more proud. I thought about taking her to a REALLY fancy restaurant, (one where they won't let you in if you're not in a dress/skirt or suit), but I'm not really able to afford that. So, I've decided to make her and some friends a 3-5 course meal as a farewell dinner but I don't know what to make.

Please nothing to labor intensive or exotic. Pretty sure no one's picky or has food allergies. Just something simple but amazing.
