Kim Chee is (nicely put), fermenting, (badly put), rotting cabbage. Somehow stored in jars, wrapped in paper and buried in the earth for some undeterminate amount of time.
People who make it, usually forget where they buried it, and it takes a typhoon to come along and uncover all of them. Hence the term, My God, what happened to your house? I dunno, we're just up to our a** in deep kim chee.
