For me it is, but only if there was a connection as another poster stated .. Could be a platonic friendship or a romantic relationship. If there was no connection whatsoever then no those Gems didn't come back
I never come back. And I didn't have many fall outs, but those that happened, happened with the people I had certain connection with. And strangely, as much as something in me felt a bit sad for how the things turned out, I never found the heart to come back. As if I lost feelings for them, they are like any other passer-by. Strange, and I'm not proud of that.

Yes there is .. An old Gem friend came back into my life.. We were very close back in the day , platonic friendship ... This person isn't the only Gem that has floated in & out.. 4 Gems came back

If you're speaking of confusing, undefined relationships under a year long, particularly among people in their teens and twenties, then yes, maybe sometimes. But if you mean really come back after a clear breakup, then no. I don't let go of a relationship with someone I love or have loved until I've exhausted all the options, so while I may remain fond of the person, there is nothing to go back to. A friend can almost always draw me back. If I'm honest that's because I don't depend on my friends for very much. I'm pretty self-sufficient and invulnerable to insignificant slights.
Yes one relationship of mine was undefined with a Gem, the other 2 were friends & the other one was an ex .. The ex wasn't coming back to get back together but rather to see how I was doing & asked me out to lunch as friends

I don't know, the way I look at it is, If you do me in a way I'd never do you, then why should you play a role in my life. Life's too short to associate people who lack character towards you. And I'm not a saint, it's not my job to forgive people who don't know how to act.
