Meeting someone I fell in love with 7 years ago

7 years ago I was working as a waitress at my dad's bar (he lives in Panama). In walks Gemini man (Leo moon, gemini cancer) and he kept coming back to order drinks and food and I could tell t was because he wanted to talk to me. We completely fell in love and dated for 3 months until we both had to go back to study in our respective countries. He wrote me beautiful letters and took beautiful photos of us, and we went traveling.

He asked me to move to Argentina to finish my studies there, and I agreed. I was living in the UK and my family were paying for my studies, and I told them my plan and they said no absolutely not, if I did that then they wouldn't pay for my studies or anything. At the same time, I had a lot of issues going on such as my mum's alcoholism where I had to look after her, plus a sever eating disorder of mine that I developed. I was embarrassed by all of this and told him I started seeing someone new rather than tell him the truth, because at the time I was very emotionally unstable and didn't want to talk about any of it. He didn't answer me and we haven't really spoken since except on and off him saying he misses me and that he wants to see me again etc.

My depression and all of the mess lasted a few years until 2 years ago where I recovered finally and I feel I have my life back. I am going to Panama in a couple of weeks and he will be there as well. He was saying he still loves me and can't wait to see me etc.

Should I tell him the truth of what happened? I feel bad for what happened. I feel like he won't see me in the same light.
