I'm guilty of not reading all the posts for this answer, but has anyone ever SEEN a ghost? I know a couple of people who can make that claim, but I'm not one of them. Interested if anyone here has.

I have never seen one, but one night I was in a deep sleep and was woken up by the mattress moving like something was on it. I then felt something pressing against the back of me legs. I realized it was my cat that had died a few weeks before. But I was scared and jumped out of bed. This has never happened to me before or since.

No such thing
I have had a few experiences...
As I was lifting my coat up from the railing at the bottom of my stairs, a shadow flew out from under it. My mother, who was in the kitchen, saw the same thing. I also saw a shadow walk past my door one night. It could have been my dad, but since it looked a lot taller, and the creaky hallway floor makes it near impossible to get anywhere without making noise, I am thinking it was probably paranormal.
In my house, others have seen things, also. My dad, who would never be one to joke up something like ghosts, mentioned he has seen a shadow standing at the top of the stairs quite often. My friend, who used to come over quite often, saw a person standing right next to me as we were sitting at the computer. It was looking at the screen, apparently. A curious ghost. She said it looked like a younger Bruce Wayne, dressed all fancy, and a bit shorter. Haha. She also saw a head floating by own of our couches. And once again, she is also the type to not say those things unless they really happened.
Lately, I've been hearing some things, rater than seeing. Like, whistling.
I also remember when I was looking at my current house with my parents, I looked under the bed, and there was a cat. The couple only had one cat, and it looked nothing like what was under the bed, and they denied there to be anything under there, such as stuffed animals, etc, which I believed, because they were middle aged and nothing else was under the bed. The cat, which actually looked like a baby serval (not even a domestic cat), just stared straight at me and didn't move. Someone suggested it might have been a djinn, which is interesting, I suppose.

Haha, no. I was about 6 years old, then. Didn't know anything about ghosts except that I was afraid of them. But, I truly don't believe anything evil is in my house and I don't feel threatened at all (though, still scared, because I'll always be), so I think leaving it as is is fine. I mean, the shadow I saw flew away faster than I would have ran, if I were afraid. And I find it really funny that the ghost my friend saw was looking at the computer confused. We were playing You Raise Me Up and singing to it, loudly, which makes it even funnier. If I were a ghost, I'd be wondering what was going on, too! Haha! Though, smudging is usually good to do, anyway. I'll consider it when I move into a house of my own.

New episode of "Celebrity Ghost Stories" Tonight!
I don't like that show! : ( Their accounts are always unbelievably scary, and by 'unbelievably', I mean that I'm not actually sure if I believe them. They ARE actors. But seriously, I remember one where the person walked into some town where everyone was dressed in old clothes and walking around almost zombie-like. Found out later the town was deserted...I can believe one ghostly incident...but walking into town and having a bunch of ghost townsfolk walking around, and having the town look like it did back in the day, and not covered in weeds, etc...I dunno about that. Interesting to hear, nonetheless.
I remember one show...I think the Ghostly Encounters one..or something, where the lady videotaped her sleeping, and some kind of doll/hand puppet thing looked like it was trying to jump on the bed. That is seriously the freakiest thing ever. I don't know why that scares me so much, but ugh.
I seen a ghost twice, the first one was an old lady in my room when I was 8 sitting on a chair quilting, and then it vanished after watching it for about two minutes. When I seen the second one I was with two other people who seen it too, I was about twelve at this time so I was old enough to understand. This ghost stood at least 7ft tall and was shadow like with no facial features at all to see being that it was dark and transparent, it gave off a negative vibe and we were so filled with fear that we didn't scream or run, the oldest person out of the three of us was seventeen, and he helped us escape the living room we were in at my uncle's house. I don't know, but my uncle (that is now deceased) was a creepy dude, he kept ashes of all his loved ones in that creepy house, I never visited him again until he died a few years after.
Great, now every time I blink I see a shadow in the corner of my eye. And I need to pick up my laundray from the basement too. Thanks a lot guys!

I know right, very scary, talk about sleeping next your mother for months.
I have heard some amazing ghost stories from friends. I wonder what makes a person witness them or not? I DO believe in them, whatever they might be, but was definitely scared poopless in my formative years by my mother's obsession with horror movies.

I was sitting facing oncoming cars, and only as their headlights would come around a sharp turn did I notice them. It is literally pitch black in that canyon at night, with barely any visibility even with headlights and/or highbeams....I know because I drove up and down that highway, day and night, nearly ever day for four months. Driving at night, I barely could see the top of my Jeep's hood (white in color no less) and I could see nothing on either side of me on the side of the road. So, I see a few cars pass by, with headlights and taillights, and then around the sharp turn facing me comes round a car with no headlights. Immediately my first thought was how in the hell is this person driving without headlights, and how did they make it this far out of the canyon! All the reasons I could come up with made no sense simply because of the impossibility of driving this narrow, dark and windy highway without lights....you cannot even see the lines in the road until you're practically on top of them. I sat there baffled, the car passes right alongside of me, so I try to see the driver (maybe their head is glued to the windshield to see, but still impossible!) and I do not see anybody. My eyes followed the car as it passed me by to see if it had taillights, that perhaps the driver was breaking frequently in order to drive this way, but I saw no taillights either. The car was moving very, very slow, almost like gliding or slow-motion, and making no sound whatever. It looked like an old Buick (sedan?) two-door, steel grey color (sorry, don't know much about types of cars). My friend came back to the Jeep just as the car passed, so I asked him if he saw it walking back up the road, and he said no. I quickly told him I was going to drive back out to see if I could catch up to it since it was moving so slow, but I never did. There are no exits or turn-offs for at least a few miles further out of the canyon....it disappeared. I researched similar stories involving vehicles, but I had no luck finding one close to mine. I am curious and wonder what you think of my story. I appreciate your time and response if any. Thank you.

Posted by RumiLNot to the extent that others have but I do remember waking up in the middle of the night once to see an ild woman standing at my door which was about the same distance as the foot of my bed. @Rumil I also had an experience with an incubus when I was really little...maybe 9. I was sleeping in my aunts bed one night because i had to spend a night and the only other bed she had was a small bed for her toddler. So anyway my little cousin was acting up and my aaunt told her she would have to sleep in her own bed for the night, my little cousin being about 4, freaks out and is crying..LITERALLY fighting my aunt for rights to stay in her mom's bed lmaooo
So while that's happening, Im still in my Aunt's bed and I try to get up, you know since my Aunt and little cousin have woken me up, and I cant. I can vaguely remember but I THINK I saw a shadowy figure OR I just sensed its presence. I could vividly sense and feel it on top of me, pushing me down, and holding me down. I try to scream but I couldnt. So I start screaming Jesus Jesus Jesus internally and it went away.
I should note, this was in a new townhome and my Aunt had told me when she would sometimes go in the basement the stereo would randomnly come on. My Aunt is super spiritual, Christian type and she would just rebuke it. But the day she told me that, was I think the same day that happened.
I leave spiritual warfare to God. I have no desire to see or participate in any paranormal activity. But I do think some people are more sensitive to things. For instance, I am pretty good at picking up people's spirit...energies...vibes...intentions...moods before they even say or do anything. I am also pretty good at predicting situations or circumstances. I cant tell the future.

There was the one time went to play I'm God by Clams Casino on YouTube. Then the weirdest thing happened. I got a fuzzy screen that said "Video cannot be played at this time, but a song was still playing. It was the song I'm God but backwards, which is another song by Clams Casino called I'm the devil. It freaked me out. The screen said Video cannot be played, but it was playing the song I'm the devil, and the title clearly said I'm God. I exited all pages, but the song was still playing. I the just stared at by desktop in shock that absolutely no pages were open, but the song was still playing. I then slowly got up, and turned off the computer manually. I restarted, and there was no song. I wrote it off as a weird glitch, till I realized the creator of the songs was dead. It was creepy and unexlaned. It was likely a glitch, right?
