Anybody else hate the expression Mother Nature?

Does anybody else hate the expression "Mother Nature"? Whoever first coined this expression must have had serious issues with their mother! Not that I don't enjoy nature, beautiful landscapes, etc. - I do. But "mother" is usually meant to signify "kind and gentle" and how can anybody possibly say that about nature where one bird pushes another out of the nest, where animals eat other animals alive all day long and where some animals (and sometimes people) starve to death? So get real and stop being so sentimental. Maybe Disney is partly responsible for this bullshit.

Human mother produces human babies. Mother nature produces grand nature. I love this expression.
And it's just food chain. The starvation to death is human's fault for screwing with nature so much. There are plenty of food.. But the people suffering from overweight(in 2000) had officially surpassed the people suffering from malnutrition. One billion to 800 millions. It's the people fault for not distributing the resources fairly. Get real. Mother can't dictate everything we do. Not every mother can stop all our bad doings and Mother Nature had done a very excellent job on the resources part anyway.
