Leo man asking for forgiveness?

My ex Leo keeps asking me for forgiveness. Short background story, we’ve dated for one year, instant love at first sight/soulmate connection (maybe even twin flame or karmic). Relationship was pretty toxic since we’ve both dealt with anxiety and depression. He ended up disappearing on me without an explanation for 11 months. When he reached out to me again, he told me he’s now a father but never was dating or in a relationship with his kids mother. This is his first child. I don’t have kids. My heart was completed ripped to fucking shreds. I asked him how old his son was an he told me 1 years old. When I started to add up the timing, he’s kids mother was obviously pregnant while we were together. I asked him and he denied and shut down. I tried everything to still be with him but he didn’t want me. Eventually I gave up in October and since December he’s been asking me for forgiveness. I don’t reply to his messages because I’m still in the healing process. I forgave him already. And I don’t hate him at all. I told him I wish him the best in life and how I’m going to move on. He didn’t seem to really care. I know during our relationship I have hurt his ego and embarrassed him. But I was also dealing with my own mental issues within myself and I’ve been working very hard on myself for the past two years that we haven’t been together. I have apologized to him with every ounce and fiber of my being, all my heart can give and he still didn’t accept it. He always emails and texts me asking if I can forgive him, why can’t I reply back to him, asking if I have found someone else. Also, I forgot to add, back in October when I had my last conversation with him I found him on a dating app. On his profile he answered everything truthfully BUT he denied having a kid on his dating profile. That left me even more confused then when I first found out. Yesterday he texted me saying “praying you can forgive me”.

What does it mean when a Leo man keeps asking for your forgiveness? Leo men being prideful and having big egos wouldn’t this show weakness for him? Especially since I haven’t said anything to him 6-7 months. What does he gain from having my forgiveness since we could never be together?

Forgive him (for yourself) and move on with your life. There's too much baggage here to worry yourself about him.

Forget him, forgive him but make it clear you want to keep your life away from him..

Can i ask you what happened when you say: “i know i hurt his ego also”

May be the key for his behavior, although disappear and be a father its not an excuse for anything.

He fucked up everything if he had a night out and “create a baby”.

But.. i must say, if you somehow had an affair with someone while being with him and thats the reason when you say hurt his pride, i can see why he behave like that.

My story is a lil bit similar.. my sag also hurt my pride, she didnt cheat, but she disrespect me, it took 3 months to forgive. At some point we decided that “or i move on or we leave” its been crazy but i think im ok now, but it will never be erased from my memory that event. Never hurt leo ideals of relationship. If you accept dating/compromised with him, accept that, orherwise, never start a relationship.

On the other hand, there is no excuse his behaviour.

Forgive him.

Shed the dead weight.

Release the emotions.

Release him.
