I think it's just a guy ego thing at times though. It's something my mom pointed out when she had to deal with it with my dad and my brother. She said my grandpa was the same way too and he's a Taurus.

You ruffle that ego and some just get outright butthurt and defensive and lash out like children. :/

And lol @ the Pisces behavior. Those guys just do shit to get reactions. I'm far too familiar with it. But I can spot it a mile away and just don't entertain that crap with the reactions that they want.

sucks to have that crazy behavior running rampant in your family.

very good insight here, my pisces father LOVES to get reactions, he did the meanest things to my mother... drove her insane, she was never aware it was done intentionally, shes in a home now. I see it as a form of emotional vampirism.

Yeah, but it wasn't something that happened a lot to the point of being "rampant." Just guys having their moments. Was still annoying as shit, and it's a serious issue my brother has. I don't remember my dad being that bad, just moments. My grandpa, I wouldn't really know. Just what my mom told me.

Pisces doing that stuff is why they have so many issues in relationships, methinks. It's one thing to joke around with someone to see how they react, but they take it to a whole other level that causes some serious dysfunction. To get off on mind fucking people is a problem.

I still find it sad and disturbing that this Leo dude that the OP is dealing with is already exhibiting such behavior. I mean, it's good for HER to know already. Some people don't find out til something has started..

It's also a bit baffling he's pulling that shit and he hasn't even been on an actual date. Why would you behave that way toward someone you're interested in? Can't even attempt "best behavior" here.

Yup, Ive stayed far far away from pisces men because of that. I didn't know "why" before. I could sense and see the manipulations but I didn't have the proper insight to label it ( I would just kinda run from it..lol). I sensed it was being done when I read this thread and warning bells went off yet I still couldn't label it. I think you and Montgomery really where good about pointing out the manipulations exactly and labeling them, smart and exact use of your insight and intuition. A lot of my girlfriends unknowingly put up with that BS and makes me mad to no end. You're right though rockyroadicecream, WHY isn't he trying his best behavior? Seeing these kinds of games, manipultions, avoidances, forced silences and tricks all over this forum is heartbreaking I thank God Im not single.

Yeah, the frequency that some of these problems pop up across the board is disheartening. It's always one of several scenarios that you see women coming here for advice on. Some whiner was going on about how "repetitive" I sound when giving advice and it's like well shit, the patterns here are all the same and it all boils down to the same issue- dealing with a very immature and selfish guy who's up for using a woman/keeping her around for selfish/sexual reasons.

Is every guy like this? No. But you have a lot of women seeking advice over these problems that all stem from this type. You won't see women seeking advice when things are going well.

Rockroadicecream, I think its good you're a voice of reason, some young women are coming on here and they don't know whats happening to them at all, we've all been there and they get dumb advice that will lead to further heartbreak. I come from a dysfunctional family so I too never learned a lot of the advice you, myself and others are giving now, had I read it when I was younger, I would have listened and perhaps made different choices. My first day on this site I was running from one heartache story to another and back again, Im slowing that down as Ive been attacked on more than one thread as well....so I hear you. Im an water heavy, 8th house earth sign so I have trouble shaking things off as quickly as another fire sign so Im just putting the breaks on (just a bit) though its difficult I just want to shake the sense into people so they don't get hurt...lol.

Well the funny thing is I may have heard a lot of these tidbits when I was younger and was aware of them, but it's different when you actually experience it. Once I finally did experience some of these things for my self, it's like holy shit, they aren't kidding. Actions DO speak louder than words. You WILL know when a guy is truly into you, without a doubt. All this angst and teenage bullshit seeps into your 20s and you end up learning the hard way that chasing after questionable behavior is a waste of time and when a guy truly shows genuine interest, it's like night and day.

But instead, you're fighting off a lot of advice from dumb women who live in lala land and guys who just have no idea because they don't have a vagina in dating. Our society also tends to encourage women to put up with more bullshit than they should especially considering they're the more oppressed of the two genders.

So when you have that, coupled with questionable "want to hear" advice as opposed to "need to hear" advice, you see a lot of women caught up in some bs scenarios. People need to approach these situations with more of a logical/overall wellbeing approach as opposed to a romanticized/ideal approach that the media shoves down our throats.

I had that romantasized/ideal approach when I was younger too. I assumed if I was crazy in lust it was love and that the other person felt exactly the same way I did. Boy, did I get a rude awakening...lol. Seriously though its really bad out there. I was a moderater on a forum and it was full of guys who deliberately play malicious and nasty games DELIBERATELY so that women fall for them. Usually they have rotations of these young women, probably the same women on this forum that they hook up with and then disappear on, all sorts of text games, deliberate dating or hanging out and then disappearing, etc to get women to chase them and then play with their emotions terrible stuff. I want to expose these games on the relationship forum, Id probably be roasted alive but I intend to at some point.

**update**

The chat has continued almost daily..two surgeries later he is still in hospital. He says he "likes me loads, if he didn't he wouldn't be messaging me every day and we've still to meet so we'll just take it slow". I'm over it romantically by now, but i'd still like to meet at one point, maybe for coffee. Should I even bother saying that to him or just pull right back. I have stopped communication but he just keeps coming back for more. Despite all the communication, I feel like there's still something I just cant put my finger on, maybe he has a gf!! It could easily be the case. Damnit.
