In my experience the approach of Leos and Virgos can be drastically different. Granted both Virgos and Leos will gauge the consistency of potential partners, but in different ways. Leos will observe a person's interest first before barelling forward. A Virgo on the other hand may analyze the situation longer.
Once a Leo does pursue, we basically expect the other person to reciprocate interest. However this can happen well before a Virgo is ready. If the Virgo backs up, the Leo will stop and wait. If this happens a few times the Leo will get bored and walk away, thereby killing any potential romance.
Even if there is still a chance something can be reignited, once we decide we're done trying, we'll leave it entierly up to the Virgo to get things going again.
