What can you tell me about this Leo man?

First of all, hello everyone.
I'm new. I registered to this site following a friends advice.
I'm a Capricorn, ascendant Gemini with moon in Pisces and Venus in Capricorn.

I've been talking to this Leo man for many years. His birthday is August 21, so I'm guessing he's a cusp with Virgo? But I'm not sure.

For years we've been keeping in touch through various medium. He's been in a relationship with a girl, I think she's gemini, for 3 years but they've had a lot of problems. His relationship status is constantly changing on Facebook from single to a relationship.
This girl has been on FB for many years, but he only made 1 when I asked him to made 1, because it would be easier for us to talk.
So, he made a FB, now he's using it all the time. He also made a twitter to talk to me more often, while his gf had one years ago. He also got so happy when I gave him my number, he said he couldn't stop smiling because he could talk to me all the time.
We talk about hanging out all the time, going to trips together. He never talk about his gf. Only in very rare cases. We don't flirt, but I can tell by the way he acts that I'm a part of his life somehow. We talked about spending NYE together, and go to parties, the two of us only. He invites me to his place constantly. Except we don't live in the same city so it's not an every day thing.

We also (that's nerdy but whatever we're both nerdy people) talked about playing a video game together, that pretty much means we will spend a lot of time together online. And when we did spent time together, we were having so much fun.
He texts me when he's with his family or his girlfriend. Always make time for me. He also likes and comment on everything I do on FB.

I don't know what to think.
Is this typical behavior for a Leo?
What are his actions means exactly?

Before, you try to find a "meaning' of your friendship with MR LEO..he has a girlfriend! Despite him changing his status from time to time on FB!? He has a GIRLFRIEND! In other words, regardless if they r having their share of up's and down's, she's still very much in his life! honestly, It all depends of what you are looking for? It seems he's being just a friend to you?! Don't read to much into..atleast not yet! Im curious, how old are you guys? and how far of a distance do you guys live?

We are at the beginning of our 30s.

I understand what you're saying. But to me, that's not the point of my post. I want to know what his actions means knowing that he's a Leo.

Anyone got insights about this Leo?
