Explaining the Intellectual Connection.

But the concept of an intellectual connection isn't hard to understand??_.just engage in thoughtful conversations on topics that an air sign is passionate about and don't be biased based on how you feel??_..in an argument or debate air folk find coming to a resolution satisfying and we find it very stressful when people are irrational thinkers??_you may get away with a gemini or a libran but an aqua will cut you off

Can tell for few others I know and based on myself. Even I wasn't aware of how important is for me to have interseting, productive conversation with my partner - that we are on the same lavel (or close) in discussing various topic and how it rejects me when comunication is clogged or almost impossible.
Doesn't have to be anything highly intelectual. Even a simple topic can trigger Libras mind to turn it into neverending discussion (or monolog 😛) She will be amused then. Anyhow, comunication is a big + for some even a dealbreaker.

LOL! So true! In my romantic experience, they were hardly intellectual let alone smart. Ditzy and blonde is the word to describe them in love. As for friends, they just mooch off other people's intellectual ideas to look smart.

Yep.. we talk stupid to stupid people.. remember we mirror the person we talk to... besides i get lazy to talk about intellectual stuff when i already know the reciever wont understand what im saying... why waste my brain when i can just get the goods by doing nothing.
Discussion is the point - thinking and exchanging thoughts.
Doesn't have to be something intelectual.
Not all Libras are smart, but still they can brainstorm qualitiy thaughts faster then some others.
Their adut is not intelect (that is somthing that one needs to build up and work on), but the ability of thinking (that is one bit of the exercise to sharper intelect).
Everybody tend to go silly when in love (loose their mind)... that is just temporarely though. Brain stimuli is a must - sooner or later - either way.

lol!! Libras are very intelligent. I am personally surrounded by very successful and smart leebs. One thing about leebs though is that they are too lazy to argue with people they find inferior in intellect. Once they see there is no hope, they give up.. we are a bit lazy after all 🙂
Personally I don't find libras to be very smart nor are they even that stimulating mentally. Most of the ones I know have limited knowledge. You just can't discuss EVERYTHING with them. Personally, you can bring up ANY topic & chances are I'll know something about it. Which is why I enjoy talking to geminis, virgos & capricorns. They all know a little/lot about everything. That's how an intellectuall connection is detected/formed imo. The ability to have flowing conversations about almost anything under the sun. It irritates me a bit when people don't know stuff that I think everybody should know by now. I want to learn, not teach.
LMAO I just remembered something. Just recently, my libra friend was so eager to share with me her latest finds. I don't remember how the conversation started but she shared with me the meaning of "LOL". I think her 16-year-old daughter enlightened her on this very useful & very interesting piece of info & she thought she should share it. I felt my brain going into a coma, but I pretended that I also didn't know. LOL! Silly libra.

I'm not so in the know about current events but I can talk a history topic to second death. Yes, Darnley likely planted the gun powder at Kirk O'Field. Atila the Hun isn't as bad as his stereotype. 1) Going to school does not make one smart. Being smart is being smart. Getting a job isn't evidence of intelligence or intellect, either. That said, qualifying to attend and graduate from a highly selective university demonstrates that a person can work hard, complete long-term and short-term tasks, and achieve set goals. However, if having and keeping a job matters to you, I hold a job that requires a great deal of mental agility, including strong research and analytical abilities. Not to mention ability to work closely with an EXTREMELY high-maintenance superior.
2) I know about current events. I have several nice friends who bring me up to speed. I just don't care enough about finding out on my own. My interests lie elsewhere.

The leebs I know just mooch off other people's ideas to look smart and trust me, I'd know a veneer if I saw one. As for school or attending a top notch university, all it shows is discipline, dedication, great organizational skills and hard work to get into a top notch school. I went to a top notch university, but that doesn't make me smart or even intellectual. So many time you see people who have the xapacity to memorize a textbook to get great marks on exams, does that make them smart for having a photographic memory? Anyway, that's my opinion.
Same idea. Smart is smart irrespective of schooling or not. We're saying th same thing so why even bring in school, which you did in your previous post.

I never had a chance to elaborate on this post because I was in a hurry but I'm willing to do that now.
Intellectual connection has NOTHING to do with intelligence. You can talk with a very smart person but if that person is 'close-minded' or has a negative disposition all the time, judgemental, it's going to be fairly hard to try to have a connection with that person.
It's about acceptance, it's about being safe and free to share ideas, dreams, talking with another person and being completely yourself. It's about learning from one another and even if you don't agree with each other, you can still have enough respect for the person to be able to understand their point of view...THat's the message I gathered from that song. And what I find one of THE top things I would desire in a relationship, whether romantic or otherwise. I don't think it's a hard concept to wrap around...haven't you ever met a person you could vibe with that you guys could talk to like 3am in the morning? Haven't you seen the movie "Before Sunrise" that would be another example of an "intellectual connection"?
That is something, I'm finding alot harder to come by, the older I get, I miss that.

It is also about sophistication, emotional maturity,worldliness, creativity, playfulness (+ less ego). Intellectual has to do with expressing or enjoying mental activity = Libra.
Knowledge/level of education, how well informed on the topic one is, adds to the quality of the conversation.
