Posted by tctaexactly. you got it. and my vis meant that i am not dropping any walls until i KNOW how he feels. he has venus in taurus too which only makes talking about feelings doubly hard. the thing is we broke up many times. from memory at least 5-6 times in the first year but no matter how many times broke up, neither of us could stick it to for more than a few days. there was just an undeniable pull toward each other where we couldn't truly let go. now for the last year there are no real fights, no break ups, it's like we've both accepted our fate.
aha, I got you Jeane - yes, if he knew straight away then he knew you were a keeper and was just going through the motions and playing it cool - not wanting to rush anything as Taurans do - but you were weighing and wondering and wanted to "know" ... and I bet he couldn't even put it into words to tell you ...
I have no words now to describe us and I've told my bb that straight away - and I'm not sure he understands that - this is the first time in my love life I've been speechless lol - it's just so different; so functional vs dysfunctional; so normal vs not normal; so easy vs so hard; we just gel all around and it's warm and compassionate and loving and real nice. My Venus in Aries has gotten me in so much trouble in the past so I try to contain her. Too much fire and then when it burned out, I was back trying to build another fire right away. This slow burn is so new to me but I've adjusted quite well and the fire still burns - slowly and comfortably. My friends know because I haven't had a tiff at all about him. Before I was always complaining about the other one's bad habits - I seemed to have a sign on my head that read "if you are dysfunctional, I want you" ... lol - oh isn't life interesting ...

I think some astrology does help with the Taurus/Libra combo - in addition to sun, moon and rising sign compatibility - his mother was a Taurus and same birthday as mine, his father was a Capricorn - which is my moon. So yes age and wisdom and compatibility and maturity all go together - and some good planets in sync help too!

Love reading about your experience with a Libra. I'm happy that you're not here to bash us, unlike a few Tauruses who are staunchly against the Taurus-Libra pairing.
I believe it really boils down to maturity and wisdom. Or how we like to say in astrology - being evolved 😉
My husband and I met when we were in our late 20s, have had plenty of life experiences before each other and were independent people with successful careers. Most importantly we were not bogged down by past relationship experiences and failures.
Quite a number of failed Libra-Taurus relationships I read on here involved people in their early 20s. I think when you're both young, regardless of sun sign, you don't really know what you want yet, especially in regard to a healthy adult relationship. For Taurus and Libra, it could either start off really hot and fast and burn out just as quickly, or be so slow that they hardly get off the ground. And young people, especially Libras, don't have that patience.
Being inconjunct signs also means there are things we do so differently (thought processes, dealing with emotions, etc) that may be difficult to reconcile. That's where experience, maturity and wisdom come in handy. An 'evolved' Libra is a very compromising and accommodating partner, and an 'evolved' Taurus has a lot of inner strength that makes one a very dedicated and loyal spouse.
