Shy libran?
What's your birthday and birthtime? Have you ever done a natal chart on yourself? You probably have an ascendant or mercury in a sign that's it in a water sign/earth sign.

But yah you aren't alone...and just because you feel that you don't have all the characteristics, doesn't mean you are an anomaly
sometimes i'm not feeling social, or i'm holding myself back to avoid scaring people. apparently it comes across as shy, and sometimes i'll even think of myself as shy. but definitely not shy at all.
it's just a really great excuse sometimes.
i can't think of any libras i've known that have been shy. but i've known plenty who were disinterested, coy, or just being polite. of course, there's also the situation of being "shy" in romantic situations, but i think that's just a need for more data.

I can talk to just about any girl except the few selected i see a future with lol.
My libra was shy in the beginning. He only talked to the people he knew and was chatty to a selected few.
It use to drive me nuts that he didn't approach me. He always used to stare at me, when I wasn't looking but my friends were.
Luckily, things turned out fine in the end and we have been happily dating for the last few months.
