"Time heals all wounds" how do you all feel about this statement?

I'd like to think scars can be pretty beautiful in the right light.
I agree. Physical scars are sexy also. Everyone has a story and some stories are more apparent, whether mentally or physically. It makes a person beautiful and unique. A story left to be opened and read.click to expand

Okay Bro Statement of the year...
Bones will Break,
Chics dig Scars,
Pain is Temporary...
But Glory is forever!
+1
I read something equally as bro-codish today as well on Andy Murray
"That is the real lesson of the Murray story: live in the moment, live for the moment by practicising self-discipline and espouse a work ethic to improve one's self. Nothing worthwhile in life comes easy. Nobody can do the hard yards for you. It is only ever about you. Murray has had to take some hard knocks but the empty fears of self-doubt have been purged by his voracious appetite to seek, to find and not to yield."

I'm definitely finding that I'm attracted to imperfect women myself. After this past weekend, I'm very afraid that it could bite me in the ass and ruin everything I've worked for. Perhaps a little paranoia, since it seems everything turned out fine. But I really need to evaluate the type of women I keep company with. They do nothing but cause problems. I guess is some odd way, I feel I deserve anything that could happen to me as a result of my indiscretions. But if I do get a second chance, I'm done with tortured women from here on out.

I can't remember my scars off the top. I know I have one by my eyebrow where someone threw an empty milk crate at my head when I was defending my best friend as he was passed out drunk on the street.

I'm present, now give me presents.

One time I took a beer bottle and was making fun of people that cut themselves, I ended up slicing my arm open with it. π

I have a scar story, pretty grusome, and funny at the same time.
When I was 6 years old, I had a issue typing up my shoes. My mother kept me on Velcro straps as long as possible, but eventually she took the plunge and got me shoes with laces. Anyway my mother worked nights, and she would often pick me up from my grandmother's house when her shift was over. I was walking from my grandmother's front yard to my mother's car, and then I tripped on my shoe laces. I didn't tie them up properly and they became undone. I fell onto a fence, the steel fences, it it impaled my mouth. My mother was able to pull me off the fence, but I lost a lot of blood. I was rushed to emergency, and I received 6 stitches. While the scar is faint, I still have it till this day, nearly 27 years later.
This was the type of fence that impaled me.

Also have a scar from my bulldog's tooth getting into my arm to chew on while she was fighting another dog of ours. Head wound from things that you know about if you've been here for a bit.

Posted by Mixtape
And I don't make fun of people who cut themselves anymore, because of that beer bottle. Lmao.

Posted by Mr. Defense
It didn't help that my grandmother picked me up from school, and gave me one hell of a whooping when I got home.

I have two purebred english bulldogs. They're both like 60lbs I believe.

I have another scar from where my mom burned me(accidentally), with a curling iron. This one's on my head, but it's always covered by my hair.
I have a third scar on my cheek, from where my cat scratched me. It's really hard to see though, most people don't even notice it, and even when I tell them about it they have to squint to see it.

LOL @ the curling iron scars hahahah π
I knew the second one would happen. I told my mom not to do it, to use a different curling iron.....and she didn't listen @_@. Funny this was predicted by astrology because of all my mars influence in the 1st house, as it conjuncts it too.click to expand

rocky - Your messages have been read even if hidden now.
From what you have shared, my gut feeling tells me there is something, that may be underlying his behaviour, that may be beyond pure laziness or selfishness. If one may ask (which you do not have to answer, if unwarranted), have he ever suffered from Depression or any hints of it in the past? Even if a person may not be full blown Depressive, it could severely affect their willingness to get up and do tasks, it is a chemical imbalance that is driving them so or it may be another form of 'affliction' (as much as I hate the word that is the only one that my mind could rattle about at the moment) which may be causing him so? Have anyone looked into those possibilities?
Simply throwing out ideas, from what have been presented thus far...

Yeah, that's been a known issue.
There's also the issue that my mom has coddled him since he was born. He's typical of "youngest child" syndrome. He's taken his family for granted and now his priorities are not with family, but friends and relationships. Those tasks he has no problem dropping everything for, but the tasks that involve family - back burner status. Fuck, he forgot all about Christmas shopping for his own family one year, but managed to buy a shit ton of crap for his girlfriend. He tried to ditch the plans we'd made for my birthday for the sake of plans he'd forgotten about with a friend.
Regardless of issues, the whole thing boils down to him needing to grow up and quit being such a selfish twat. He suffers from the male affliction of all talk no action. Underlying issues or not, it's time to grow up.click to expand

There in lies the problem.
That is true and agreed to, as far as my first preposition goes, it stands resolute. It is time he gets his priorities straight and head out of his own arse. One supposes nothing more could be said except- Good Luck to you.

@Aquanoz Go with someone who can put you back together. Also-do you have health insurance? Does that kind of thing come automatically with the trip? Is there some kind of visitor's health insurance? Lol.

If the explosion of turd relieved some tension, by all means, do, it always helps one way or another. If I was in your position, I would be drawing very near, to such a state where I would want to strangle him (figuratively). Same parents, different DNA strand, therein lies your problem...click to expand

When I was little back when the Aluminium cans still had the ones where you peel off the top, I wanted to lick all the goodness off it so I put it in my mouth and it almost sliced my tongue in half lol no scars I don't think but now there's a tongue ring there so it's hardly noticeable π
Another one, also when I was little. I thought I'd be super awesome and try out dance moves in the shower. Got shampoo in my eye couldn't see and I slipped and forehead it the corner of the shower base that scar's still there to remind how stupid I was lol.

I COULDN'T agree with Legs any more. I have one brother. Leo, in fact. Oddly enough, I'm the one who loves to lead, is loud and proud, and loves being the center of attention.
He's the artsy quiet type lol.
I think I like your brother more then π haha jkclick to expand

Hey π No trouble today!! Speaking of legs, when I ran track there was a guy with these really long legs. I started calling him legs...I thought it was so funny. I don't think he did, but I couldn't stop and then other people did as well. I hope he's ok now.
