Soul Mate Vs. Twin Flame (Page 2)

I've seen the number 11 a lot. It started back in middle school, perhaps, and has recently lost meaning to me/hasn't appeared much in my life. My best guess would be for my situation, it just highlighted a period of my life where things were setting themselves up. I learned to be more open with communication and my feelings, I met someone important to me which helped me become a better person, etc. So I think I'm just not in that phase anymore and the guidance is not necessary at this point. So, I would think in general that the number 11 would mean a time of alignment or necessary change/maturity. In numerology its a very spiritual number, so I think soul maturity would match up with seeing this number. That, however, is just based on my experience and assumptions. I've heard someone say that seeing the number 8 also signals a time of change, so maybe seeing certain numbers just means a different kind of change...like 11 would be change in the soul/soul maturity and 8 would be a different type. I'm not sure.

Thank you....yeah I will never be the same. It broke my heart, my spirit...maybe eventually but its been 3 years now and and it still feels like yesterday, I've just gotten better at hiding it :/

A dxp friend referred me to this thread because he thought I would find it helpful, and am I ever thankful that he did!

In the OP, Scenic makes a clear distinction between SoulMate and TwinFlame. She also gives clear descriptions of how to discern one from the other. I believe that I met my SoulMate 20 years ago. We formed a bond that has remained strong and unbroken. However, roughly 2 years ago, I met someone online completely by chance to whom I felt an UNCANNY connection. This connection between us was INSTANTANEOUS and EXTREMELY profound.

That last sentence is really KEY to me, because it explains my very deep fear of letting go. I've tried to "separate" but the very thought of it makes me feel like I'm cutting off a limb or ripping out my heart. I CANNOT describe the pain of it because mere words are not enough. I have felt him attempting to disconnect little by little, but on my end, I'm having a hell of a time with it. Can any of you help me with ideas or further reading??

its a soul felt hurt. its like literally feeling your heart break. they say things get better with time, but with his, no matter how much time has passed or how much better your surrounding environment is...the pain is still the same. i feel like an empty novel missing some of its chapters.i only feel his intense emotions, so the sadness is what i feel, and sometimes panic.

I also relate VERY strongly to xdimplez statement above.

P.S. This twin flame and I have very polar personalities. Is this common as well?

Well, all of this is just theory, so it's about what you want to believe. Someone once told me that whatever you believe is reality, because that's all reality is in some cases...what you choose to believe. And your beliefs will be as real as anyone else's.

I suppose, anyway, that twin flames are that thing most people have to experience to believe, which makes things difficult because it's rare to meet them or stay with them long. People are inclined to not believe in things unless it has happened to them. On the other hand, people also like to have explanations for what they feel so it's possible that the word twin flame originated from someone trying to explain a sense of meeting someone they felt was apart of them. Like the Greek myth of the beings being split on half, where your 'other half' idea comes from, myths were created to tell stories and explain things that people didn't understand. So based on that it's hard to tell if the idea was created because of an intense feeling or because your other half actually is a thing. But, in the end, that's all up to the individual to decide!

This perfectly illustrates my belief but I must clarify a little. I doubt the concept of the twin flame or twin soul being another person. I believe that "twin soul" is a metaphor for the part of ourselves that we lose in the early part of our lives. In essence, we are our own twin flame. When a child is born, it is born "fully awakened" with all of the higher abilities. Clairvoyance, telethapy, all of them. Those abilities are our other half, the other part of our soul. I'll continue this in another post.

Because of the teaching of society through religion and other mean, those abilities are repressed because of earth's energy field being held to lower vibrations. Some souks are advanced enough to resist to a certain degree. I've experienced being with my "twin flame" as this happened in my last relationship. After the break up, I swore that she was my twin as the experience fit the description...everything. Two years later, I realize that she was only a very compatible soul mate meant to come and unlock my other half, my twin. Its takes emotional stress from within caused by life experience to be unlocked. I break that mental barrier within your mind to reach the higher self. Like a wall our twin soul, ourself is always on the other side waiting to be freed.

I am so glad I stumbled across this thread. I have a person in my life that I feel this way about. At times it drives me nuts how close they can get without even trying. I have a shit ton of walls I have put up over the years and it's like they aren't even there anymore when I am around him. It freaks me out to be honest.

It is common; also the age difference. For example I'm five years older then mine. I've noticed many others have this; they are either five to eight years apart, which I don't think is a coincidence, and I'll be looking up the significance of it here in a couple of days.

Also; one or both are in a relationship already or have separated from their partner. Their is also geographical distance between the two, it can be small or big, and sometimes not at all.

One soul is also more evolved then the other. The less evolved soul; becomes the runner.

Have you noticed any coincidences between your birthdays? For example; I was born December 15, he was born July 5. The year for me is 1984 and he 1989, he's 24 and I'm 29.

I've also noticed with others, like my mother ; and others I have strong connections with, the numbers 5,15, 4 and 9 are involved. My mother was born 3/15, grandmother, 4/15, my sister was born from my father side and her and I have a really strong vibe July 5, my other sister August 5, so I don't know if numbers have a lot to say as far as connections.

What are every body else's thoughts on this? Cause I've also noticed that my twin and I are also 5 years apart in age difference.

In my case, there's a 17 year difference. We're on different continents. Yes, one soul is definitely more evolved than the other. Both otherwise involved.

I haven't noticed any number patterns, other than we met in 2011 and apparently the number 11 is significant.

One bizarre thing that I noticed though is his Sun is the opposite of my Venus. And my Sun is the opposite of his Venus. Ying and Yang??

I was definitely talking to someone a while ago about something like this. Most people in his family were born on the 15th of a month and with the amount of people he described to me it really got me wondering how coincidental it all was. I wonder what that means exactly.

I am starting to think that we all have more then one twin flame as well

one for the good, one for the dark, one for the bad and depending on how many those are divided into that is the amount of twin flames each has, like a stage starter to highlight the next stage of evolution dependings on the lessons we learn each and everyday as to how many we can high light to evolve or go to heaven or whatever you call it. Not sure if theres an ultimate Twinflame that when both people are one each then they meet and be with each other, I'll call this a Blueflame (what is the colour of lightening? White blueish ashish?) I will call it a Blueflame sees very fitting as I miss my BF(HAHA) Whom I have no idea who it is? Very mysterious indeed. Keeps me going on with my work and what it is I must do. I am tired and bored and so over this crap.

The terms "Soul Mate" or "Twin Flame" has become so ill used and passe over the years.
Their Romantic meanings range from someone you fancy to someone you simply relate to well to a Lover.

Ok, here is where I blown the entire romantic angle out of the water...............

Just suppose you do meet some other soul you relate to.
1) Can you truly love them without condition. (Remember Human Love is conditional)
2) Can you accept that you may only "walk together" for a short while?
3) Can you set them free without remorse, regret or spite?
4) Can you feel they are a "soul mate" or "twin flame" without any romantic interaction?
5) Would you feel the same if they were the same gender as you if you are straight?
6) Can you perceive them as a free soul with no expectations of them in any way?

Because if you can't you are not being honest with yourself........

These are terrific and pertinent questions. Nevertheless, I argue that Human Love CAN be unconditional. You have only to look at the majority of mother/child relationships. Most mothers will love their children UNconditionally.

On the other hand, it's true that romantic love tends to have conditions. What's strange though, if you happen to buy into the "twin flame" concept, is that one finds oneself loving the TF unconditionally. I think this is what makes this connection so unique.
