Alien Reality
You would go with who where? To another planet?
I know this might sound crass but I would like to visit another planet but I'm too scared. Not only that but I don't have the money to travel to space. I imagine it cost millions if not billions of dollars.
I don't know what particular answer you looking for or if this is just your thoughts or whatever but I'm game for this thread.

yes I would go with aliens to another planet - I wouldn't pay for it if I traveled with them

I believe in real conspiracies and I have to believe that somewhere in the universe Aliens must exist due to the endless numbers of planets. However I have never bought the "Aliens visiting earth" theory because it just doesn't make any sense to me at all. People are underestimating the secret services and our militaries that play their role in this. I believe they are hiding facts but not related to Aliens.
If Aliens had such an advanced technology it means they are looking for ressources and gaining power, just like we do otherwise we wouldn't spend so much money in investing the universe just out of curiosity. We have probably around 100 wars going on earth right now, so what are the chances Aliens would be any different? They would use their technology for economical reasons and possibly because they have inner competition going on as well just like we do here (USA, China, Russia, India).
Why would Aliens even send spaceships to earth and risk the lives of their crews just to spy on us? After all we can shoot them and if we catch even one Alien or their ship we would gain so much informations about them. Or let's reverse the question: what if Mars had a population of intelligent Aliens with weapons? Would we still send rovers over there, let alone astronauts, if we could? If they caught even one rover or a human they would know everything. Put him under torture and the human would draw them a map of the earth with all nuclear powers and big cities, military basis, all kind of weapons, name some of the presidents and politicians, companies and give them a briefing about our history. Imagine all the damage to our security.
The universe is far too vast for timely travel. Unless "aliens" can travel at the speed of light, I doubt they have visited us in our lifetime.
I'm not saying that other life doesn't exist in the universe.. only that with the technology that we have invented (or even theorized), it's impossible time wise for anyone to visit us, or us them.

I understand your points but I don't agree and that's ok. I believe that a more intelligent species is just that. They don't need war; they don't need to start anything with us or gain anything from us because what they already have and know is far superior. And with that far superior existence, that is where I'm at. I think they watch us and they are so fast our military obviously can't catch them. A few have gone down and our military hides alot from us. There have been far too many encounters to ignore the facts - to me anyway.

well apparently they don't actually speak; they communicate telepathically - and why not just a sunday drive if they have far superior technology advanced so they can travel beyond the speed of light or whatever we do know
I think this subject is like the universe - infinite - because our minds do not have the capacity to even grasp how much more is out there or what it's all about. If they wanted to take the planet for resources, they would have already done so. But they haven't because what they already have is beyond what we have. They don't need us. We don't need them. But I would like to see a sharing of knowledge event.

My thoughts. It is real and since their aircraft is different from variable sightings I figure we are being visited by more than one other species. I also believe that with their advanced technology they have the capacity to bring us down if they wanted to so I'm sure that's not the case.
Listening to the children in Zimbabwe describe what they were thinking as they encountered a ship and an actual alien within 3 feet of them and they all stared at one another and didn't say anything - their thoughts were that the alien was trying to tell them in their minds that too much technology is not good; and to stop with all the technology and get back to saving the planet. I wonder could it be that they are trying to warn us of our imminent self destruction.
Could viruses be planted here or "helped along" by "someone" who wants to see us do better and save ourselves. Do we have the capacity? Mind you, this encounter was like 50 years ago. I'm not sure a 10 year old child 50 years ago could have possibly had those thoughts themselves but perhaps. It feels nice that at least someone out there cares lol. I would go with them if they had beauty and food and health like we do and if I could take my grandchildren.
Otherwise, we're stuck here on this beautiful earth where green means nothing to most unless it's in the form of cash money.

Crazy I was thinking about this yesterday while watching a documentary on Amazon Prime. Encounters of the Fifth Kind. I dont think I'm ready to have a face to face with aliens, but I do want to learn more about their civilization. I don't think they are interested in our weapons. I think they are interested in making sure we do not harm to the rest of the universe with our aggressive nature.They haven't blown us up because we are basically like toddlers to them. Possibly even like watching baboons in a zoo lol. If we got to dangerous they'd just come and take our toys away or find a way to put us on time out.

I don't know if I believe in aliens or not. I can't say. But what I can say is if I ever see one arrive here on earth in their space saucer I'm hauling ass. I don't know where to but I'm gone.

There is a good possibility that we are the first to even achieve abiogenesis. The probability of another planet even getting to the single cell organism stage is unlikely. And IF it did happen, it could have been billions of years ago and they've already been destroyed by the great filter.

hmmmm; I think our universe has all the elements of life and that some planets have just evolved differently because of their unique atmospheres. Jeff Goldblum was right. Life will find a way. I believe this planet is only unique in the origin and evolution we know. I believe there are different materials on other planets as well - different metals, and gases, etc.

me personally ? I don't care for that look of barren, hot, dry and dusty lol no water, where are the fruit trees lol ... it is beautiful in it's own way but I wouldn't want to stay there - I'm a Taurus; I love trees, water, mountains, animals, birds, grasses, etc.

What if the equipment or the language between us and them is incompatible?

Scientists believe that they could communicate with them using digits, symbols or other systems. If you have two intelligent species capable of exploring parts of the universe with their technology then you already have some similarities in the way they think and communicate which means they are able and willing to learn new systems as well.
What I can believe are Aliens sending out small unmanned spacecrafts that explore Earth and gather informations from the outside (or maybe from the inside) in a similar way to what we did with the 2 Voyager spacecrafts. Maybe that would explain some people observing UFOs in the sky. But they would still be too far away to land on Earth.
I believe there are aliens posting on their own version of DXP

My thoughts. It is real and since their aircraft is different from variable sightings I figure we are being visited by more than one other species. I also believe that with their advanced technology they have the capacity to bring us down if they wanted to so I'm sure that's not the case.
Listening to the children in Zimbabwe describe what they were thinking as they encountered a ship and an actual alien within 3 feet of them and they all stared at one another and didn't say anything - their thoughts were that the alien was trying to tell them in their minds that too much technology is not good; and to stop with all the technology and get back to saving the planet. I wonder could it be that they are trying to warn us of our imminent self destruction.
Could viruses be planted here or "helped along" by "someone" who wants to see us do better and save ourselves. Do we have the capacity? Mind you, this encounter was like 50 years ago. I'm not sure a 10 year old child 50 years ago could have possibly had those thoughts themselves but perhaps. It feels nice that at least someone out there cares lol. I would go with them if they had beauty and food and health like we do and if I could take my grandchildren.
Otherwise, we're stuck here on this beautiful earth where green means nothing to most unless it's in the form of cash money.
I look forward to meeting them - oh and they seem interested in our weapons but do not engage and they surely do not want a military engagement - not because we would win; but because it's just not prudent. They are much more intelligent. I guess we got shorted on brains.
