Posted by ididntbut_itstillhurt now in the real world things are different.... beauty means nothing... people still expect you to wait in line and stuff... but i will say that i have my tricks so people are nicer to me... which is simply having manners... that's it... most of the time i find myself with people wanting to show me all this and that and im like okay thank you this is enough... im leaving now... people love other people that have manners... not beauty... especially the fake kind like a stiff face... natural and kind that is key... oh and talking about anything will do it too.

Idk where you live, but I live in the buckle of the Bible Belt. Most of the time I’m silent in lines, so I’d say my manners are neutral (neither exemplary nor abominable). Women never let me go in front of them unless they’re not ready to check out. However, most men will let me go in front of them. Idk if it’s my body or if my face is cuter than I think, but when you reach a certain level of attractiveness things get handed to you. Men wanting to serve/help you when you don’t need assistance, getting free appetizers or desserts at restaurants, not having to pay full price for food/drinks, free or discounted services (e.g. car repairs, though I will say I turn up the charm in these situations, but that’s just to make sure they don’t fuck my shit up), free Uber rides, etc.

Life has been like this since I was 13, or at least that’s the earliest I can really remember noticing special treatment but back then I thought it was creepy af to have adult men (even if they were in their 20’s) hitting on me and doing things to earn my approval. My friends would always tell me I should be flattered. Even my parents thought it was comical. I was just scared I’d get abducted, but it felt like no one else saw it that way. Maybe I watched too many crime shows 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes it’s annoying though; I have days where I just don’t want anyone to interact with me and I want to be invisible. But that mood usually occurs when I’m hormonal and in a headspace where I feel like people only define me by my looks.

It’s sorta funny the difference between how men and women treat me. Like I could be going on a flight and my suitcase is 3 lbs overweight. If a man is doing the ticketing and luggage checking, he’ll let the 3lbs slide. But if issa woman doing baggage check, 9/10 she’ll make me pay the $ 100 overweight fee, all because my suitcase is 3 fucking pounds overweight 😒. Sometimes I’ll meet cool chicks though who compliment me and ask where I get my nails done or how I get my lashes the way they are. Only once has this led to me getting something for free on a female waitresses accord. At the end of the day though, compliments from women are what I live for 💛

They have never had issues getting a guy to take them out. Some have even had somewhat long term relationships when they were in their 20s. They haven't really had to add "value" to themselves as a partner, and probably have never been demanded to add value to themselves as a partner because of their looks. It's funny, cause I have been saying this shit for years on here. Which is why I have been called a woman hater in the past, and probably will be in the future. All because I don't feed into their neuroses in that men don't value anything outside of looks and sex.

It's a weird entitlement aspect, where the "hot ones" just believe they can demand some top quality male, without any real substance behind their looks. And I would say, they get very very angry that the man ends up with someone they look at aesthetically inferior to them. And go into a weird toxic spiral, of wondering why they keep getting passed over, and dropped like lava in a blink of an eye.

Some women don't want to hear it, acknowledge it, or be told the brutal truth of dating. It's just their ego, doesn't want to be shown the cold reality. That as you age, as a woman, you have to offset the disadvantages you have when competing against the younger squad that comes out every year. It's not the same for most men, because value often times increases as they age. Though of course there are the outliers for men as well.

You want the valuable men. but you are older, and have kids? You better add more than your looks to your "dating profile/resume" then. Cause men value how the woman makes them feel as a man and partner, not the stupid petty shit women think they do. You can cook, plus. You remember the subtle things he enjoys, check. You treat his family well, check. You value his opinion and time, check. You put as much effort as you demand from him, check. You have a career, check. You do special things for him for no reason, check. Etc... All of that and more, can offset you being older, having kids, a little bit of fat, not being the hottest girl in the room, and a host of other things for that man. You just gotta work a little harder.

But at the same time, that woman, with all those skills can require a high value male herself, and knows it. She isn't going to allow for shit, because she knows what she brings to the table, and what her partner should as well. lol

I am not even the best looking girl, but when my group was pulled from lines by bouncers, none of us were charged. And I would rank myself the "DUFF" of the group. But that was probably more because I am an outlier with the group I hung out with back then, until I realized, being "thick" was a very positive trait. lol

Oh, I 100% agree. There are the "hot guys" as well, that rely solely on their looks as well. They are taken care of as well. Women of any age, that will support them. They don't work. They do nothing. But women seemingly, will support them.

But the unfair part for our gender is, is that most of those men don't have the same issues as they grow older. There is always a woman out there, that will accept their bad behavior. They just target the younger, less experienced ones, or the older women that are insecure.

That's just the brutality of our genders. It is not fair, and it will never be fair.

As for the topic at hand, obviously aesthetic beauty has it's advantages. It is just a fact. My friends and I have been pulled from lines at club, and let in without paying. Free table service. Men offering to change my tire. Even something as simple as opening a door for me. It all happens in varying degrees.

This video is basically what @Arielle83 and I talked about. The "Aging Hot Cat Lady". The women, that have been able to rely on their looks for almost everything, and as they age, they become bitter because they don't understand why they aren't getting the same success as they did before.

They have never had issues getting a guy to take them out. Some have even had somewhat long term relationships when they were in their 20s. They haven't really had to add "value" to themselves as a partner, and probably have never been demanded to add value to themselves as a partner because of their looks. But then, they get older, and haven't figured out that there is someone younger and prettier out there. And they keep getting older, and still not adding "value" to offset their age because they never had to, and are unwilling to. So they just get more and more bitter, wondering why they can't get away with the same stuff they use to. And they become more and more toxic. It will come out as either aggression towards the man, giving bad relationship advice so the younger girls that are competition remain single too, making comments about other women's looks, and a host of other things. All because they still feel "entitled" to rely on their looks solely still, while demanding high, because they never had to before. lol

I briefly had a fat friend. I’m talking borderline obese. I’ve never seen someone be so in awe of the attention I get, but whenever we went out her face would light up at the attention/perks I get. Word for word she told me “I can’t wait until I’m down to your size. I want to see if I’ll get free stuff and see what kind of men check me out”.

She ended up being a morally righteous bitch though so that friendship ended after a couple months.
