Yeah it was in a Desert between Sudan and Eritrea. I was 4 or 5. I was riding the back of a Camel. My mother was guiding it. Not sure if my brother was with me or on her back. Guerrilla Fighters came out of nowhere and surrounded us, I believe it was dark at night. I was scared and fell off the camel.

We made it to Sudan where my secret agent father was working. My father started an Auto mechanic shop for big trucks and his plan was to make lots of money in Sudan and send us abroad for education and go back home when the war was over. One day my mother came across a friend waiting in line . She asked what they were doing and he said I am signing up for a DV lottery to America. He was like get in line, try your luck, she did. The rest is history.

My father never stopped his support of his country and luckily we all got to see independence in 1991.
