I like them, but you know what, I have bony ankles and I can't wear anything around my ankle because it looks "off" (unless it's adjustable).

It may simply be my somewhat anal retentive side but that sheen would try my insane, it is pink for heaven's sake! It makes one wonder if it is attempting to be grey to pink or grey or pink, no, just no 🙂
Although you are correct to say the one on the left is sleeker, but our darling bull here is Chubby Chubs Chubs, therefore the lapels on the right may suit his frame better, out of purely proportionate purposes. The pocket square, even if subtle, was a nice touch, but considering he have a Leo Moon, he may go a bit, more blatant with that display.

Haha what TLS means is I'm 6'5" so my body shape is somewhere between ectomorph and mesomorph. More meso as I get older now and my metabolism is slowing down. A good thing since I looked like an ironing board when I was a teenager.
