Just about any non-seafood cream soup, or soup with cheese in it.

I'll take "thin soup" if there is nothing else to be had. "Why?" 😢

In the area I live in, "chicken corn soup" is all the rage in the fall. God. Sometimes I wonder why I moved here.

Where are you? Never had chicken corn soup...

Potato soup is delish! I think there is a bag of Bear Creek brand in the cupboard, left over from sometime chilly.

A big 'ol pot of beef stew with mushrooms and root veggies simmering on the stove is pretty blissful.

I'm a big fan of eggplant parm.

I'm making homemade lasagna tonight.

I can make some awesome soups too!

Oh, I also made a butter pecan rum cake today as well 😄

Roast beef with potatoes and carrots in le crock pot.

Also-- biscuits with loads of REAL butter, thank you.

My Scorpio gramma used to make the best biscuits-- she didn't have to measure a thing.

~

Now I'm hungry.

Maybe chili w/ rice & cheddar melted on top.

Comfort food. 😄

I'm making beef brisket chili with ancho chilies from my garden today.

This sounds amazing.

Ancho chilies-- aren't they kind of mellow, like anaheims-- or am I way off, and they're nuclear?

Vegetarian lasagna? Did you ever try with ricotta and spinach?

Lasagna always has ricotta (at least the way I've always made it)... I have made vegetarian, but my kids balk at the idea. So, tonight I used ground turkey. I do always add spinach for the extra nutritional value, no one knows the difference, occasionally I'll slip in some zucchini as well. When I was on my tofu kick they didn't quite go for it, that is, if they caught me LOL

i think we've had enough of soups all weekend. Father in law had soup for us last night: Pumpkin soup, (green not orange) was so delicious but the day before I heated and stirred up some Oxen soup, and then before that chicken soup. We're souped out for now.

Omggggg I love you aquapisces

FOOOOODDDD THREAD!

XY you are so cute! I still remember all your food posts- you remind me of my besties (Aries) who is a total foodie??_
Soups- I love spicy thai pumpkin soup- dollop of sour cream in the middle with a scattering of coriander (cilantro?)

Today I made the brisket chili, some cornbread with aged cheddar, and pear, tart cherry, and almond bread pudding for dessert.

That does all sound damn scrummy Neuro! When M&M??s organises our party can you do the catering!??!
But cooking with your own produce is hugely satisfying! I love to bake and have lemons, black boy peaches, apples, feijoas, rhubarb and strawberries all growing at home- on hand for when the mood strikes.
My lemon meringue pie and peach or apple and feijoa tart with cardamom short crust pastry are pretty legendary around these parts!

mmmm that's what father-in-law made for us, the thai pumpkin soup, but with no sour cream, just the coriander. served with warm bread and side cheeses, and some herbal butter. there was also some sliced salmon and olives soaked in garlic. it's perfect for an autumn dish.

We're just getting asparagus and avocado back in season! Yum!!!
Thinking a feta, sun dried tomato and asparagus filo or tart could be the ticket for a weekend snack... Maybe a bit of smoked chicken or bacon and a few olives poppped in there too...
Mmmmm! Now I am hungry!!!
