1. I fear death. I especially fear dying in a sudden or tragic or painful way, for example in a plane crash (ugh, can't stand to even think about it), or drowning (basically suffocating), or getting into an awful car accident. Being murdered would really bother me, too. Especially being murdered with a knife or an axe, or being bludgeoned to death.
2. What I fear most about death, is that I will go to some sort of hell, or that the process of dying will be excruciatingly painful or that I will die before I have fulfilled all of my purposes on earth.
3. I want to be about 100 years old when I die.
4. I want my surviving family members around me when I die, but even more so I want my true love to be with me. But if he's already dead, I suppose I'll settle for the family. lol, kidding.
so death,
im afraid of loosing someone i really love, but to me, dying i don't think of too much because im not afraid of it... sure i don't want a painful death but if i die, then i die.
like you PR, at least when i die naturally i would love to have someone that i love beside me, including family members.
i would never want them to weep, or cry for me. remember me, but don't pitty me.
I don't think pity is why people cry when their loved ones die, I think it's because of the loss and the finality of things. But I know what you mean.
Thanks for your reply.
P.S., I want people to cry for me. lol. I'm just kidding. But a little grief, I would want to know I was missed...
ill miss you...
cry, maybe ;p lol
kiddin.
ass
lol
I want to die alone at some age before I've lost any sharpness in wit. I'm not afraid of death, I'm actually quite curios to find out what's on the other side. I don't intend to ever have a family, so I'm not afraid of losing them.
I don't really fear death. It's too much a part of life. It's more of a curiosity to me (like morgan). Instead, I fear missing all the great things that will happen in the world after I'm dead- you know, cures for diseases, new technologies, aliens, planetary exploration, etc. Death itself doesn't scare me but I'd really hate to die on like the day before a mini-apocolypse or aliens land on earth and make their presence known or time-travel is invented. So i'd like to live as long as I can as long as I'm not suffering from Alzheimer's because then if I do see great things I'll forget them and then there's no point.
sounds a little callous maybe but it's my view of the world.
LOL -- Gwen, not to laugh at the seriousness of your post, but that second to last sentence is hilarious.
"as long as I'm not suffering from Alzheimer's because then if I do see great things I'll forget them and then there's no point"
😛 Funny, but true
Death and dying...no fear at all...it's life that scares the butter out of me...LOL.
I'd like to die by falling off a cliff someplace where their's nobody at all, and it has to be at sunset.
And it has to be on a bright cleard day exactly when the sky looks like it's burning up in flames... And it has to be on my birthday...
ok morgan...
say, you want to go over to the Catskills some time during the summer? like in August? August 8? by the time we hike up the mountain it'll be, oh say, sunset.
😛
Death...Hmmm...I agree with Gwen...it's just a part of life and I love life so why should I fear death...?
Fear is generally based in the unknown but we all know we HAVE to die...we know that so why should we fear it...? To fear anything that is intrinsically a part of what we are is just beyond me...?
I think it's that whole not being able to breath, exploding in a fiery inferno, excrutiating pain thing that bothers me.
You don't fear dying that way?
I don't know...I merely burned my hand on a curling iron once and the pain about killed me...
See, it's not actual death that anyone fears. It's the moments right before, and the moments right after.
my birthday's the 18th of august, gwen
phoenix, I don't fear the moment after... but you're right, it's pain which most people fear..
damn you morgan you told me the eighth! I even have it written down on the calander as that
I have always wanted to die by firing squad..without the blindfold...what an adrenalin rush!
Lawgoddess, that's one of the ways I would NEVER EVER EVER want to die. I wouldn't be able to take it, I'd throw up.
morgan is funny.
you are dying and you still would throw up? cute
I was never afraid of the afterlife thing. I always just assumed I'd be reencarnated.
And Mayson, I'd throw up right before they shot me, it's the suspence that kills me. LOl. Seriously, I hate waiting for things to happen, especially when they're bad things.
jackbutter, I wonder the exact same thing. Wouldn't that be weird if you *were* just "done"? But then I guess it wouldn't be weird, since you wouldn't be aware of the weirdness, because you have ceased to exist.

Do you fear death? What about it do you fear the most? If you could pick an age to die, what age would you be? Who do you want to be around you when you die?
And finally, would you rather die before your lover or spouse, or would you rather they die before you?
