DXP Entrepeneurs...raise your hands

Any other entrepeneurs on here? What made you become one? Desperation? Looking to challenge yourself? I'm curious...

After a few years of overal frustration with Academia in general, I realized I just don't like working for anybody (unless it's charity work) so a few years ago I made the decision to start my own business and even though I'm still not quite where I want to be, it has been the most incredible and rewarding (learning) experience so far, lots of setbacks along the way, lots of naysayers and non-believers, it was definitely not easy, thank goodness I followed my intuition and stayed put and focussed despite the challenges. Things are looking fine right now.

I'm curious about other people's journey into entrepeneurship, and maybe learn a few things from the more experienced ones..

I own a clothing line. Seriously fell into it. I didnt even know how to sew a year ago.

I go through so many emotions with dealing with the public. Some ppl just aggravate the shyt outta my mars in virgo and mercury conj uranus..

Other than that. The feeling of that 1st sale from a stranger is unreal. Awesome feeling that ppl dont think your shyt is crap.

I do alot of advertising on facebook. Very successful.

Working on some other streams of income.

I fell into my own income tax prep business. It just sort of happened. I helped my neighbor one day and a few days later there were 5 more people knocking on my door. 12 years later and no advertising and I am up to 1100 clients per year and about to open a second location.

I'm not smart enough to start a business 😢
