The right to life is a moral principle based on the belief that a human being has the right to live and, in particular, should not to be unjustly killed by another human being. The concept of a right to life is central to debates on the issues of euthanasia, capital punishment, abortion, self defense and the morality of war.

This does not conflict with free will nor education because this is the descripton of right to life as per your doctrine set out after the second world war atrocities to preserve life.

Exactly! NYAA said he could "unjustly" take my life because he had free will. But he can't because I have a right to life. That makes right to life more important.

No but seriously if you really want to apply logic what's to stop anyone putting a bullet through your head. What is the importance of this right when someone else's free will can at any time impede, or nature for that matter?

All things considered I (outside of the debate) I agree the right to life is important and essential but within the debate there was no solid evidence of this and this is probably where you failed by trying to break down Nacho's argument but with no solid points.

I would've moved away from that example and made a point about Right to Life and in particular "The right to live" is in some form free will, you cannot have will without a wanting to live therefore it trumps freedom of will.

That you probably need to reinforce better. There's nothing wrong with what you're debating but don't expect the other team to be agreeing with you because the aim for us is to win. We will do all we can to draw it back to the first instance of HOW it happened.

You could've made an argument and taken material to back that free will is all but an illusion if it ever ended up being that bad therefore making freedom of will redundant. I recall you saying there is no free will but that was quickly skipped over after Nacho came back with a short retort.

The aim isn't to convince your opponent, the aim is to break them down completely and persuade the judge and sometimes you win some sometimes you lose some. Knowing all facts means seeing opposition's perspective in order to break it down, all points have merits the job here is to make your own points almost impenetrable.

If I feel I can't make that case I move on to the next point. This is where you made it easy for me and Nacho because you were so fixated on a single point during the entire debate.

If your point made more sense then we'd have to counter it to ensure we have the upper hand. I even pointed out during the debate and as I am now but it's all falling on deaf ears.

We don't need to counter if we don't want to. If your point made more sense then it's really our loss. You might feel like it's a better point just as I think my points are better... it doesn't always necessarily mean that.

People have stayed civil and you are the one to point out how foolish this entire thing is. I have challenged Stoic's debate topic before but it really won't get you anywhere because we are the one who agreed to participate in the first place, his turf, his rules.

We're going nowhere anytime until some more of the Dryer Sheets cast their votes.

This is the reality, from page 18 to the end no one could mount an effective argument against mine.

You were the only one who came close...but nyaa was not even close with his arguments like I was with mine. So you claiming this means you have to be blind. Snoz made the best points for your team, followed by Steve. NYAA should've lost the debate on his own...he was THAT far off the mark.

So please read how my arguments on education completely dismissed all of yours.

I was taking about my contribution, I am not getting into NYAA vs GetMisted because I wasn't there.

I probably would've pulled up something about neurons and how our brains work and that learning is a natural process and inherent in all human beings therefore making it fundamental, it is a survival instinct built into our brains thus making it a very very basic and human right.

Then using your words at the end about 'choices' to bolster our chosen 'freedom of will'.

But in all honesty it can get pretty messy when you're trying to discern what is a 'legal right' and what is a 'natural right'. I mean is life or survival instincts a right? or just that... survival instincts.

I know hon, that's why I was so stumped. You and me have the same problem with being online. If you read what went down from page 18 to the end...you will understand where I come from. The first 18 pages were a clusterfuck and it was more nyaa vs getmisted and getmisted vs nyaa than a debate.

In the absence of such evidence, your allegation clearly qualifies under the legal definitions of character defamation and libel. Would you mind providing your mailing address to my counsel so I can have you served?

I tried to come up with a way to utilize something of this nature that would work, Twinks, and failed to come up with anything.

It would only be obvious if someone tried to vote as someone else if that someone else noticed the vote they didn't cast. But then they could just be stirring up drama, too, arguing against their own vote for kicks.

Ideally, there would be a voting function built in to DXP. That could guarantee that only a given user was casting a vote. Given how rarely it would be used, I don't blame the overlord(s) for not investing in it, though.
