WWE is a shell of what it once was with characters and storylines making wrestling matches matter to what it is now where wrestling "marks" just want to see matches between people with no characters and no storylines so that they can rate these fake fights between 0 and 5 stars

The WWE is also a thing where the outcomes are predetermined obviously and the outcome is usually obvious

NBA is a shell of what it once was with exciting games and players who were well rounded and logical with logical coaches to now where everyone just wants to shoot 3s because the warriors can and it makes no sense or logic and is all hyped by people talking out of their ass

The NBA is not predetermined but one can certainly predict the finals every year

I half agree but this also reminds me of the debate about modern football right now (even though football and bball are nothing like the same as sports).

all the professional pundits love a team like Real Madrid that can build up to a slim victory, controlling games. And yeah ok there is a high level of technique in that, their entire team is beautiful on the ball, and mentally they are in control of themselves and games.

But then you have those same pundits saying stupid things like "this is the Champions League you don't want to see the game being played like this" when referring to teams like Liverpool, Man City, Roma, Napoli. Teams who play high line kamikaze tactics and go for goals. Highest scoring CL semi final in history and the professional pundits were complaining as if goals were a bad thing. I will take goals over appreciating some player's ability to make 1-2 passes in the middle of the pitch at 0-0 for 70 mins anyday. click to expand

I think thats different tho because in the NBA teams are trying to make shooting three's the main point of their strategy when all teams are going to miss more than they make, but they only do this because it works for the warriors but then the other teams just look dumb when they're shooting threes with a 10 point lead and missing them and just giving the other team the comeback

Theres no more logic in the NBA and Lebron is the only one that plays a logical and well rounded game and actually tries to win games
