My point is the Nationals are just like the Capitals in making the playoffs but then losing
So lets be seen at a game where Capitals become a game away from being champions and now become the new Ovechkin in the same city of supposedly great, but choke when it matters

I don’t want to ask a sports question on the front page so can you guys and girls help me figure this out? 😐My son has a tournament 2 hours away on the 16th and 17th with this travel team I paid way too much money for. Like I actually regret it a little bit.He got asked to by an ex MLB player to join and idk. He was so excited I signed him up. It’s good, but no one is sending scouts to this team. That doesn’t happen for two more years. He’s on 14u. He’s 15. And the Coach is like ‘hotel recommended’ and didn’t give any times yet to when these games will be played. So it’ll cost quite a bit to have him play in this tournament, which will be 3-5 games in two days. And he’s not 100% yet. His back still hurts.
He’s still in PT, and he’s played 2 in-town little league games in the last week for the first time in about a month.
Today was the first time he pitched since May 5th. He only let one run in and they won. It wasn’t all him, but he did well. The in-town team is the same coach who is asking him to be on All Stars for the summer, which is also travel.
And I told the coach, actually his wife since she takes all the emails, he probably won’t be there for the last game of in-town. Which is the Championship game. And he’s there best pitcher. So she was kind of short with me. They want him for All Stars and I just said he may not make it to the most important game for in-town.
I just want my kid to heal. I don’t know where he should play, and he’s being pulled into many directions. Help. He wants to play and ignore the fact that he’s hurting.
Do I spend hundreds of dollars to have him play in a tournament when he’s not fully healed? That seems wrong. But seeing him so upset about missing out feels wrong too. And they want him at that last game. Same Coach for All Stars, and my son is dying to play with the kids who’ll be on his high school team. So conflicted. He doesn’t know. I think I have to make the desicion for him.
If he were pro there'd be more reason to play, but given that he's not yet (and I know nothing about baseball and how it works) and doesn't have that security I would say recover first as there won't be anyone on that team looking out for him if he does his back in even worse and has to sit it out for months of inaction. As much as they are pushing him to play now for one game, will they even remember his face if he does injures himself even worse and disappears for 10, 20, 30 games in a row? I'd go for recovery now because he has no fallback if he gets injured worse. click to expand
I agree with you. They wouldn’t remember him if he were to quit. But he refuses. Dang Taurus will never give up and pitched when I told him not to.
He’s going into high school and just starting out. I’d rather him heal and give it a rest, yet he’s on one travel team and they’re asking him to be on another. Plus the Coach is annoyed with me I said he can’t be there for the last game. If he was making a living off of this it’s matter more. But to him, it matters as if he was. click to expand

Yeah I agree with Tiz. Healing has got to be more important right now imo. I mean Im sure the experience would still be great, but if he is still injured is it really worth all of that money at the moment, I kinda doubt it

I’m only a few articles in, but they’re talking about DeGrom and Syndergaard in one of them possibly being traded. Most likely Syndergaard.
And acquiring Manny Machado in another article which would be awesome, but I doubt they’ll get him.
They seem like they have a great lineup, and give at least a third of them away every year.

yeah Scudetto number 8 may as well be mailed to them in August, especially if they get de Ligt in defence too.
Their stock has already risen on the Italian borsa from the news alone.
But if I'm being honest I would rather have a huge name in the league than not have one. Juve winning a title is likely either way, but the quality of the playing talent in the league actually going up and not dropping like it has the last 12 years would be a welcome change. Roma signing Pastore was like a dream, too. That guy is genuine quality.

Yeah I agree that the star power and player quality helps the league overall. Just wish it wasnt Juventus.
He'll probably get old quickly anyway and then find a nice little MLS team right before retirement like many others lol
