A gun is classified as a weapon. It's entire purpose is violence. The same can't be said about a vehicle or a match.

That's just your bias talking. I never said anything about justifying killing. I'm just being realistic and seeing the bigger picture. I agree with you and I understand your point of view but, I can't narrow it down to just guns and blame one weapon when it's really just the people behind it. If we're going to solve an issue we should get to the core of it and to get to the core we need to understand what drives people to kill other people because they're the reason it happens.

People are the ones going to these stores to buy these guns to kill these people, that's the problem and unfortunately that is something that will continue happening in this world whether or not we have guns. It's a cycle that will never end as long as people let their emotions of anger, envy and hate drive their actions. It's sad but, it's reality.

~sigh~ it really is such a shame... it goes so much deeper, violence has existed since the dawn of time, it's a vicious cycle = ( dreams for world peace will always be just that, dreams... I hate to have to accept it, but there are things in this world one person just can't change and trying to get everyone on the same page just wont happen. I see the bigger picture... it's just not pretty. Inner city violence happens everyday, but it rarely shows up on the radar and when it does come to the attention people rather not see it or don't care (we've become almost immune to it). Violence happens everyway and I'm not saying it's acceptable, it's just uncontrollable... As much as I would like to get rid of all mass destruction, like many others have said people will find other ways... when hate and anger consumes you you can do anything driven by it and fear.

Gun sales have been going up for years and more areas having ccw permits. Yet from fbi's own website, rape is down. Are less criminals wanting to rape women? No it has something to do with the fact its a guessing game, whether or not they'll be allowed to victimize someone.
