My dad use to play this, scratch that he STILL plays this and prevalent in the country side lol
aquasnoz, thanks a bunch! I have a friend obsessed with Japan (well most of Asia also), he'll enjoy these greatly.
lol @ your dad. If my dad gets within vicinity of an acoustic guitar you can bet he will assault everyone one in the room with old folk songs. You will listen to it and you will like it! (that's his motto)
haha yeah it definitely still has its charm! One of the qualities I loved about my dad 😛 Anymore songs from Romania? 😄
It's really weird now compared to what I remember, seems everywhere you go people are listening to the same music, just a different language like this song in the top 20
Great music people. Keep the videos coming 😄.
CC, you reminded me of Italy. My dad worked there for 5 years and when he came back he brought all the italian music he could find and and the Divine Comedy written in italian.
From Russia:
70s/80s ex-yugoslavian rock, punk & new wave, the only golden music from around here, imo. There are a few gems from other genres.
I absolutely adore French chansons 😉
Sweden is not my country of origin but I really like this song from the annual St. Lucia's Day on Dec 13th. I have no idea why they are celebrating the day in Scandinavia but it's pretty big here. The title Frid p? jord means "peace on earth".
Ex-Yugoslavian rock band & one of their biggest hits.
Thank you enfant!
I completely forgot about bijelo dugme.
You listen to Bijelo Dugme in Romania too? I bet it's because Goran Bregovic is the front figure, he's the only one in the bunch who's known outside of YU.
Yup, and yes, lots of goran bregovic fans around here.
Definitely the oddest thing I have in my mp3 player 😛

I realized there are o lot of people on dxpnet out of the US, or who live in the US but come from other places. I'd really like to listen to some of the music from your homeland...even if I won't understand anything 🙂.
I'll go first. I'm Romanian and I grew up with folk.
