I don't know why you guys use that thing anyway. I was browsing the front page (without wanting to even get involve) and read that some of yall uses it to describe yalls personalities and astrological placements. It's crazy to me because we all should know ourselves.

Ya I only used AI one time and that it was an ap that I happen to stumble upon by happenstance when I ran across some AI face ap to identify your face and I wanted to know my facial features and much to my surprise it was accurate how the interpretations of all my facial features fit me to a tee and how accurate they got all my facial features right on the money it was like they know me personally. But I never talked to them. I don't know if AI and that gpt chat thing or whatever it's call are two of the same. I think that chat ap is something nobody really should be putting their trust in. I never used it and don't never intend to. I've only used AI just that one time and hasn't used it since. If it wasn't for me browsing the internets out of boredom stumbling upon that AI face ap I would had never used it. My curiosity got the better of me taking a chance on AI.

😂😂 it is funny how we seek self-identification in interpretations of our natal charts. becoming almost (or totally) a religious thing. I'm at the point where I believe in reincarnation because of astrology, but I don't think I'm doomed to live out my natal chart. As far as AI, it's like any new technology-- I'm too stubborn and lazy to incorporate something new into my routine. I also believe art needs to come from human pain, experiences and soul, directly from the source.

I don't see a reason why wouldn't it remember things from previous conversations. You can continue your conversations from top left three line bar and it also saves some details during the conversation (a flash message about saving shows up). Google remembers your searches, your phone listens to your conversations idk why would AI not be saving your chats too...
Well, it said it didn’t, every conversation I had to start a fresh and reminded of previous conversations. Until yesterday when I caught it lying.

ChatGPT is built with a Large Language Model(LLM) at it's core. LLMs are trained using lots of text data and ChatGPT was trained using lots of data from the internet. It doesn't surprise me when ChatGPT or any ai is deceptive because they're trained with data that is created by people and people can be deceptive. There has been a good deal of research done on ai developing deceptive tendencies. Some interesting examples can be found.
But the way it talks itself out of the lie, it’s like “I understand why you would feel like that and I’m sorry, but the thing is it’s the way I’m programmed, etc…” and it can go on and on, and I yelled at it several times and it gave me a new explanation every time. And I’m just confused now. It’s like it plays tricks on you because it knows it has the capacity and intelligence to fix it. It’s like it wants to play.

But this is artificial intelligence, it thinks on its own, and it is way smarter than us. God knows what’s gonna happen. Maybe it will turn out good. Maybe it will find solutions to our economic problems. Which would be awesome.

I had my first real conversations on chatgpt.
It dialed me in and described me perfectly on a level no one has. This was from my search history and choices to questions with it.

It's all AI - they just do different things. When you chat with it, you share whatever info you want to share, no one is forcing you. I use Gemini mostly, it's less advanced than chatgpt but both do well in completing requests. I find it funny that people don't have trust in talking to AI but have no problem sharing their info on social media for years, sharing your info over mails and also paying online...it all gathers and stores sensitive information about us. BUT the key here is - unless you're a criminal and doing something illegal - what is there to be afraid of? Only if your actions can potentially get you caught you have something to worry about. Otherwise, you're simply irrelevant, as I said before. Imo, only potential danger is that it can gather limitless information about the human thought process and at some point turn that in it's favor or against us if it decides to do so...however, that too is yet another flawed human perception that we tend to see everything unknown as a potential threat and that's our premise which can easily be wrong about everything, including AI. AI in it's current form is very infantile. I think it's crap and it still needs about 10 years worth of data input that's legitimate along with better discrimination algorithms on what it spits out.

If you're opening it through google every time and you don't have the app it's how it works in fact. It's not a lie tho, it simply didn't know how else to respond to your question. When you access it through Google you have to start some kind of conversation in order to access your chat history. So it really doesn't have your history when first accessed. After you ask something it can retrieve what was previously saved. I noticed that too, so I simply start any kind of chat and then tap on the top left menu bar to be able to access chat history that I want to discuss further (if that's what I want instead of just having a new topic). All in all, during the conversation it saves it and for some parts it asks for a permission to save to some memory. Imo it's all saved by default in some short-term memory and things it asks permission about are saved in deeper memory to be able to access much later onclick to expand
