…would you burn all you have, get wild once more and leave with a big bang, or would you choose to slowly fade away over time?

Would you go and seek for forgiveness, or not change your ways at all?

Would it matter to you even what you leave behind?

I would want to be able to connect with the people around me, and try to keep a hopeful mindset in my way out. I've watched people close to me die from terminal disease, and it was terrifying. They were terrified themselves, and while I don't blame them whatsoever, it left a never ending scare in my mind. If I were to go out in the same way, I would want to comfort the people watching as much as possible, so at the very least my own fear doesn't attach itself to them. I would want to describe how amazing life is, and how grateful I am to have got to experience it, and how much hope and love I have for everyone else who will carry on.

Yeah. No one knows how they’d react until they are in that exact unfortunate position. I have seen people die of shock and grief, once given a terminal diagnosis.

It also depends how good one’s life is. If it is not a very enjoyable life, a departure might be a relief. But if people are rich and have a lot to lose and genuinely enjoy living? Then it’s painful, very painful.
