You know your getting old when you gotta complain about “those darn kids on my lawn”. Is younger generational hate the one thing that still unites us?
Lately G zeners have been annoying the fuck out of me. I can’t take them serious regard of their profession ! One had theaudacity to school me about being 10 minutes late for an appointment. Lol that after they changed it from 1:30 to 11:30 n had just notified me that morning. She got schooled on that rudeness.
Sometimes I wonder what kind of doctors they will be if they dye their hair and cry about the audacity of the world.. then again I'm just a poor working class millenial.

It was very well said. I am compelled to google teen girls suicide on a rise and depression in young people. It’s alarming and awful.
But what I really didn’t know is us always mentioning men living in parents basement as supposed to move OUT and learn independent living IS true! Sad.
You run out of men to have children with!!
Period! They don’t come out on top to date and procreate. I am actually HAPPY to be the age I am. We knew living! Today it’s sad pathetic existence. But it’s almost seems like pre-destined. Or is it? I don’t know…

When discussing raising future children, I would always say how I’ll coddle the shit out of them and my husband would look at me very disapprovingly as he believes in old school disciplining as necessary. After seeing the result of this generation, I think I’m ok with sending any uncooperative babies to boot camp.

My friend said they’re so fucking stupid and uncooperative on the most basic things so I said fail their asses, maybe they’ll wake up when they get to repeat grades, but she said she couldn’t do that if she wanted cause senior teachers encourage her to fudge students’ grades and performances!! That level of corruption didn’t exist during my time… They happily gave out Fs and kicked you out ASAP.

I’ve noted more gen z killing themselves due to bullying as well as participating in stupid social media trends like the blue whale suicide challenge than any other generation. Like my people grew up with unfiltered MySpace you weak biatches.

The 60s was about standing up for yourself because in the past....well we know. So that gen gave birth to the panthers and the rise(not attention, but rise)of movements. Black panther took the helm mefia wise but there were multiple movements in the midst.
The war of the 60s gave way to the laxed and tolerable nature of the 70s. Which gave way to the destructive forces of the 80s. Which paved a path for self awareness and awareness as a whole in the 90s. This led to individuality in the 2000s which made a path for self expression in the 2010s. Which now gives way to what seperates us all. Unfortunately it starts with the human basis which is sexuality and survival. These kids are fighting an insurmountable amount of pressure from every angle. What was simply a gender 30 years ago is now seen as a block on expression which leads to seperation. They so caught up on FEELING seperated that they seperste themselves. Honestly, these kids got so much power and potential but they focused on the wrong things. Really what it is is a group of youngins that feel so sepeprated because of how they were raised vs how their world is now.
Yea they not all the way there lol but man if they can right this ship omg.....they can make hige waves and really help mankind turn a corner

I find this interesting, but the individuality thing of the 90s and 00s was more through technology like second life and even messenger were a person could create a character for themselves.
Individuality started to become more of a thing in the late 50s with the birth of the teenager.

Good point but I guess I meant more of the theme. I know as a teen growing up in the 2000s(born in 87)I always saw the messages about being true ti yourself. Like in the movies, music TV shows and do forth. Or at the very least accepting who you are. I remember growing up in the 90s where sexuality, AIDS and drug usage were major focuses. And gang violence. I know technology pushed things along but the messages from each era were so different. To me at least.

Definitely true with the Saturday morning kid's sitcoms. There was film called Dangerous Minds which made gang violence themes palatable to mainstream audiences unlike in much better film Menace II Society which was very violent.

Generation x and millennials have had the educational advantage learning about children's development besides cognition, physical, social or language. New research and the availability of new information via internet definitely helped expand our knowledge. As we had our own kids, some of us relied on online communities for support and information on how to support our child(ren).
From what I know, infants and toddlers during this pandemic experience or may experience learning/developmental delay. It's either they're exposed to the stressors at home because of parents losing a job/losing a loved one/parent(s) working from home or have difficulty with facial recognition in daycares due to limitations in socialization.
Generation Z grew up living in two worlds, online and RL. Their cope mechanism and solutions maybe quite different, even more broader than former generations due variety of people/community readily available online. Maybe that can cause internal conflict. Who knows.
So you’re saying Gen z is the result of more nurturing parenting? I’m also trying to look into the parenting style but how does this correlate to the increase in their youth suiciding at an alarming rate?

My niece showed me an IG story of one of her friends where the girl posted a pic of herself in nothing but a skimpy tank top and a thong much like what the Kardashians and Jenners would do. The girl was only 17.

What concerns me more is I recall being like 14 and seeing parents at the mall dress their 10/12 year olds in tube tops that show their belly with Daisy dukes. Like I know that 10/12 year old didn’t buy those pieces themselves… extremely disturbing and the parents are entirely to blame.

She goes back to high school present day after going into a coma in the 90s, and dealing with the woke SJW of Gen Z. Dumb movie, but fairly entertaining. I never understand the hate for these silly movies, it’s not meant to be a cinematic masterpiece.
I saw this movie the other day. I knew it’d be awful but sometimes you get an itch to waste some time on them. It was quite an accurate reflection.

Friends who are teachers have confirmed children of gen z are truly this sensitive. Never test how much more annoying humans could get with every new generation… can’t wait to see how they will sustain themselves during adulthood!
