Don't think I told yous guys yet but ARIES77 and I got engaged last week. We wont actually be getting married for about 3 years for many practical reasons, but I'd rather be with her than anyone else. So I am finally content. I'm still not exactly where I want to be in life, but I feel much more at peace knowing I have someone in my corner to fight life with me.

Why it happened, well I think I have to lay it at the feet of who was in charge. In the end, we just got tired of compromising. What I tell people is that I am a slob, and I don't take orders worth a damn. Now that I am gone, she is totally in charge at the house, and the house is immaculate.

We still get along, most of the time, and that is a good thing. We just can't live with one another any more. But, it was really good for a long, long time.

No, we did not want to give up. That is a lot of life to spend with one person. It isn't something you just walk away from on a whim. But, as we remain on friendly terms, we haven't lost it all, and we both take comfort in that.

I understand this to probably be a potential problem with my Aries. This is why I firmly believe every married couple should live in a duplex and just date. That way they remain a luxury and never become a necessity. Other people say "Why not just be alone?" And the answer to that is because this way your time together will always be genuine.
