It is inevitable. Yet to you I put forth perhaps a more significant question: what happens when you run out of breath? What is to become of your soul in the afterlife? I have fought countless battles, conquered my enemies, served Rome...... but for what, I ask? You've never had to hold your wife's head in your lap, just to watch her gasp her last breath looking to you for help. Or sew your best friend's stomach shut so that you can give him the proper burial he had always asked of since childhood, when you both imagined that someday, you would grow up to be Gladiators. Or sprinkle a little cinnamon on your nuts and call for your loyal dog, who has been locked in a cage and denied food for a week...
