Yes I know cholesterol isn't always dietary.

But currently with the trends the way they are, a lot of it IS dietary. None of the bullshit genetic excuses apply to the general concept of why so many people are obese in this country. The last thing many of these people need are excuses to get out of why they're fat.

Many are aware and do not care.

Many are aware and want to try.

And many are aware but want cop outs left and right so they don't have to change.

I've seen it all. I have a lot of friends and family ask me about weight loss and what works. They generally do not like the answer and continue to do what they do, or go about it all wrong with diet pills and other crap that just makes things worse.

My main irritation is hearing the whining, the supposed goals, and everything in between, and absolutely nothing is done about it or they quit waaaay too easily (I know it's hard, but they quit fast). Or they get lazy and decide a pill is the solution to their laziness. Sure, there are some out there who can do it the right way and may struggle because their biology is being a bastard and making it hard on them. It happens.

However, it is not that common when you look at the staggering numbers. Neither is genetic anything in this situation. You will hear this pop up far too often as an excuse as to why many are the way they are. It's not THAT common.

If anything, bringing that up is just as bad as lying to someone about how they really look or ignoring the problem all together, tbh.
