I'd like to hear your thoughts on young people who were raised in an old-school way, under very strict discipline.
You are asking me about the "old-school" way.
I was raised by the Lost Generation and the Greatest Generation.
But not everyone of my generation share my views.
Because they were raised by a lesser caliber of people.

And it shows.

Probably the first generation to posse the question: "Why me? Why is this happening? Why oh why!?"

I guess this answers the question: cause you're generation WH'Y (that's why)! 😄

Fear mongers!

Indeed they were. And............. they are alive and well today.

In politics, they stand out like a sore thumb, regardless which party or political candidate.

For the record, (for all you younguns out there):
There is a difference between a fear mongerer and honest to goodness warning

Fear mongering or scaremongering is the deliberate use of fear based tactics including exaggeration and usually repetition to influence the public in order to achieve a desired outcome.[citation needed]

Fear mongering is a tactic used to scare or put fear into those viewing a campaign/advertisement and influence the outcome based on fear. (American Heritage, 2011).[1]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_mongering

Not hard to tell who the "fear mongerers" are in US politics, though, the methods, techniques, and motives appear to replicate themselves, the world, over.
Indeed, they show up in all participants in politics - politicians, news media, and the people.

The thing to do when you come across a fear mongerer, is NOT to blindly agree with that fear mongerer's rhetoric, but rather, step and research the issue or accusation
being presented. And THAT is where everything falls apart: Nobody wants to take the time and check, verify and confirm that what is being said, is truthful and accurate.
And I DON'T mean run to this or that source but check and double check and counter check all INDEPENDENT and UNBIASED reference materials. Then weigh them
in the balance of truth or consequences and right and wrong.
Remember, Politicians are like salesmen. They will tell you what you want to hear and repeat over and over so you ignore the fine print.

Example: Bernie Sanders wants to offer free college tuition.
But as you read past his sales pitch you start to notice by line 3 that "hey, wait a minute, making it more affordable no longer sounds "free".
https://berniesanders.com/issues/its-time-to-make-college-tuition-free-and-debt-free/

Truth of the matter is, younguns, nothing is free. Everything costs. Do you think the professors and the entire university staff will work for free— Hmmm—?
Nope! It ain't happening!

So you get over the fact that it's not free but forget that Bernie just lied to your face. But that's ok. You're so young and impressionable that you'll believe anything.

Hillary and Trump do the same thing.
They ALL do that.
It's psychological/philosophical/spiritual rape. And the consequence becomes a type of loyalty to political enslavement.

As for Trump, I am still convinced that he is actually intentionally helping Hillary get elected with all his clearly self-defeating rhetoric, which I think will increase
in frequency and intensity. You just watch.

I was reminded of a line that has been attributed to Adolf Hitler. "Give me the minds of your children"
A quick google brought up the following:

"When one provokes in a child a fear of the dark, one awakens in him a feeling of atavistic dread. Thus this child will be ruled all his life by this dread, whereas another child, who has been intelligently brought up, will be free of it."

"Give me the child, and I will mould the man."

"Give me the child for seven years,
and I will give you the man."

"Give me the child until he is
seven and I care not who has him thereafter."

Where does this line of thought, come from—?

There is a wisdom offered in the Biblical Book of Proverbs

Proverbs 22:6

6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Indeed, train that child to fear, he will fear for life. Train that child to be courageous, he will do so.
Train that child to exercise wisdom and, indeed, he will exercise it all his days.
But.... you must train them when they are young. Because when they pass a certain age, they
will resist instruction. Therefore, teach them to love wisdom and hate foolishness.

NOTE: whether you train your child righteously or not, will be revealed after that child has grown.
A parent that just lets their children do whatever they please, and not chastise and correct them,
will, one day, regret having children.
This, I am convinced, is the biggest problem behind America's ills. Far too many parents had
failed to raise their kids right because they, themselves, were not raised, right.

And they think that government can save the day.

Wrong, they are. Disappointed, they shall be.
Condemned, they are and buried, they shall become.

Reality, that every parent MUST understand is that THEY are the ones who are
supposed to be raising their kids, NOT the tv, NOT cousin Crack addict, NOT the internet,
NOT public schools, NOT music and movies, etc. Influences that will prevail if
allowed to go unchecked. Indeed, the parent MUST put away their own childish addictions
or else, pass the same on down and damn their own future.

How little do we realize that how we raise children is how they will care for us in our old age.

IF the politicians really cared about the people, if they really wanted to make positive changes
they would cease from being part of the problems that encourage the perpetuation of the
tragic and ongoing downfall of the US, and elsewhere in the world.
Sadly, it's "what's in it for me" and "every man for himself" with all the politicians.
And the citizenry continue to suck it all up, like a falling for candy.offered by sex predators.
"Hey little girl, want some candy?"

You know what I'm sayin?

Your child may be home safe and sound but his/her heart and mind have been kidnapped
and brainwashed beyond all recognition.

It is easy to despise the millennials because their negatives often far outweigh the few positives they bring into the room.

Think about it for a minute.

Has a more disrespectful group of people ever existed, in terms of a generation?

My favorite is how these jackasses assume that their 19 year old minds are the same thing as a 50 year old mind in terms of wisdom and experience.

It is this total lack of respect that usually causes most normal people to despise them from the start.
