well apparently my idiot ex aqua taped us once while doing the deed in his living room. dirty bastard. i never agreed to being recorded because i didnt want anything like that out in the universe. but low and behold....bastard. it appears he had it at a storage container, somewhere in the suburbs. this is where he keeps stuff, so his present girl wont find it. i guess they are little trinkets of his relationships. so he IM'd me on yahoo to tell me and his other exes/fwbs etc. but they know about the videos.

anyway, he cant afford the payments anymore and the storage facility cut his lock off and put a lock box on it. i went to the storage facility to see what the deal is, basically i wanted to look and see what it looked like. to see if i could cut it off, or bag it with my sledge hammer. no dice.

so i called the manager to see if she would be willing to make a deal with me...woman to woman. no dice. 😢 she basically told me i shouldnt have participated in amateur porn, etc...im like bitch i told you i DID NOT agree to it! ugh!


so i want to know my legal options here, any cops, lawyers in the USA that can tell me what im dealing with. i dont want to talk to a lawyer in case some other action has to be made.

The aqua and that bitch of a manager told me the stuff goes to auction on Tuesday @ 9am. So its no telling who will get it.

I'm not in law or law enforcement but could you not call the storage facility and tell them any DVD's have the potential to be of a sensitive nature? Or call a lawyer and ask them what is to be done?

i did call the storage facility VB she was a total bitch. I didnt want to talk to a lawyer because if nothing can be done. ____________________________ *fill in blank * and if it gets out in the news, the legal professional would have to say he got a call from a woman asking about that particular subject.

right, i left messages for the branch owner, but found out its the storage manager's damn husband. so im thinking whomever owns the company because this is a franchise. I will do that monday. otherwise, i would be screwed.

@Chem... I used to work for UHaul and Storage a while back.

If the unit is paid up on, unless you are the owner on the lease, or have a key... You will not be granted access to the storage unit.

If the unit is delinquent, a lock will be placed on the unit until the owner pays in full.

If it is delinquent for a certain amount of time (companies discretion), the unit will become the property of the company that owns the facility.

The company will sell the unit to an Auction company.

The unit will be auctioned off.

Basically, the only way you're going to get into the storage room... is by getting the rights to it through the Auction. Or by giving your Ex the money to pay the late charges on the storage unit.

Go to the Company and request to see the lease agreement that they would have you sign if you rented a unit. All the details of the process should be in there. They may vary depending on the state you live in.

The only way the law will get involved, is once the unit has been opened (which won't be until the company takes ownership of the unit), and the storage company sees anything in the unit that is unlawful i.e. drugs, unregistered weapons, live animals or people, dead animals or people. And in this case, you still wouldn't be allowed in the unit, however you woud have the pleasure of seeing your Ex arrested and go to jail. 🙂

The company isn't allowed to take anything out of the unit (although we did), and nothing should be touched until after the auction is over.

Check with the UHual company where the unit is located.

They should have a schedule of when the auction dates are. They were typically once a month? And not very many people showed up to it.

But that could vary depending on the city you're in.

the auction is definitely tuesday and i doubt if i can even get any money back from my ex seeing that he has been laid off. so i am basically SOL! i called a 24 hour law service and they told me what you said that i dont have any rights to the storage unit what so ever. so although the uhaul owner is the manager's husband maybe he has a more understanding nature. idk. i hope he calls back other wise, i will have to by the unit possessions and get my tape. also sell everything in that bitch on ebay.

you havent done criminal activity before?? you NEVER let them see your face EVER. so if did have to get in there, by illegal means, i dont want to be identified. and the owner, dont know where he lives or anything about him but that its her husband. found that out from a guy that works there. (my bff asked) i googled them to see if they have an address listed and they have 5. Cant really do business on a Sunday. Monday all hell will break loose. i just wanted some legal advice or ex workers advice on the deal because i never had a storage unit.

I'm serious about the capricorn part.

A few months back I was in a horribly hopeless situation.

After sharing this situation with my capricorn friend, he snatched me up by the collar and MADE ME get thru it, even though it sucked rocks and I hated every single second of it.

They just always know "what to do". Even if you don't want to do it, they know it has to be done in order for it to work out to your benefit.

They'll even give you a play by play. As long as you stick to the game plan, you can't lose.

i only know a cap women, no cap men. she usually keeps me calm and is quick minded when it comes to situations like this. and she has been to one of these auctions before. so i totally agree they just know "what to do".

@ Cowpuncher and Taurusbelle, yes i got it. i got there at 8:00 AM. Coffee, money, bff ready to go.🙂 It was only 4 people there!!! dazed was right, its not that many people that come. i paniked a little in the beginning because one of the 12'X5'X6' was auctioned off for $ 5,000. i was about to say fuck it an leave. when we finally got to the storage unit, it was NOT the smallest they had. that fucking liar, it was the 10' x 16' x 6', basically 1600 to 2000 sq.ft. of space.

i got it for $ 700. 😢 I have been going through this perverts shit since 9:45 AM. I found the tapes safeguarded those in the car. i rented a truck and brought his shit to my storage unit. the first thing i did after unloading it and taking the truck back was look at the tape. i wish i could say my face wasnt on it, but it was clear as day. (everyone should get those portable dvd players they really come in handy.) i am still disgusted that he did that.
