We'll play Naked Twister, and make the boys compete in a wet boxer-briefs contest!! (Warm water of course, we wouldn't want any shrinkage to alter our perceptions of their...uh, manhood)

Then we'll all sit around a fire, roasting marshmallows and telling stories, while getting completely, unabashedly hammered...YEAH!! lol.

This is pretty funny. I have a friend who attended an end of summer pool party complete with a band many years ago! He said the "band" sucked! Just try to guess who the band was? Give up? If so let me know!

Hmmm...the fact that you put "band" in quotation marks, leads me to believe that it either wasn't what one would call a band, or it was just a really poor excuse for a band.

Let me think here...I would say "the Backstreet Boys?", but then you said it was many years ago and those trolls have only been around a few years...crap...I think I need a hint!

But I also wonder if it was The Beach Boys(?)!

No, we don't give up yet, don't tell us who just give us hints!! lol.

Hey PR! No it was a band who even THEY themselves wouldnt't have thought they'd make it BIG! (and my friend verified this by talking with the lead singer!) But they did!

You're right it WAS NOT the BS Boys, it may even have been before your time? And it was not the Beach Boys neither!

This band is really hard to post "hints" for but let's just say that the lead singer had the hots for "Mary" at some point in his life and that he loved to sing down the "shore"?

Any guessers?

I would hardly think he played at a recent party, unless he came back from the grave. Unless I misunderstood, and that is quite possible, ding ding ding!!!

I was thinking Peter,Paul and Mary— But why would they be playing b-parties?! This has me really confused!!

Ok, 12 said it was a while ago. I think Hendrix died in 1970, and if I remember correctly #12 is my age. She would have been 11 or 12 years old? That doesn't add up! Come on 12, PLEASE! will you give us one tiney clue? Otherwise my guess will be Jimi too because Mary was the lead singer in my other choice. Well, she was the main vocal!

Okay more guesses:

Creedence Clearwater Revival? (I'm thinking, water, pool party, "Proud Mary"...lol)

The Rolling Stones? (I'm thinking, didn't Mick Jagger have a serious thing with MARYanne Faithful— LOL)

Wow, I suck at this game! lol

You guys/gals are great! I keep forgetting to check this "new board" for some reason? OK, OK I see you all are really struggling with this one. The answer is....

Bruce Springsteen and his E. St. Band!

Pretty kewl huh to be attending a pool party with a future legend to be although none of them knew it? At the time of the pool party both Bruce and his E. band were clueless that they would be such a "hit" in the years to come!

BTW he was at the pool party with a chic named Mary. To those of you who are familiar w/his music you'll note that many songs feature a "Mary" in them. He included her in many of his songs especially my favorite "Thunder Road"! I can't help but wonder if it was his 1st girlfriend and love—?

I've seen him 2x in concert and to say he IS amazing would be an UNDERSTATEMENT!

For 205

He's playing my area in Sept. I too wouldn't be that enthused to see him. Over the years he started to sound like Bob Dylan (very folkish). I never cared for Dylan NOR folk music for that matter. I saw Bruce during his "The River" and "Born in the USA" tours. Both were amazing! From what I understand his E. band will NOT be touring with him? Not sure on this one but I didn't hear otherwise that they were?

Being that his music changed so radically (and not for the better) I really have no interest in ever seeing him again. Sad but true. I guess being a family man does that to someone like Bruce. He definitely toned it down thru the past years. To bad IMO cuz his past music was IT!
