I just want to vent how i hate the new trend of sending 10 text one-liners which could have all been talked over in a less time consuming one call.

Like gtfo, i don't have time to listen to "plink", "plink", "plink" and they're always so aptly timed because ppl have stupidly short attention spans the next "plink" notification always comes after you've already put the phone down and it auto locks itself.

I actually am a phone person. Back then, I could talk for hours with someone I was friends with or liked.

As my friends and I have gotten older, they all mostly became people that prefer to text rather than talk on the phone. I get it, we all have our lives, jobs, etc

Only person I try to talk to for at least an hour every other day is my bf. He's not a phone person whatsoever but he makes the effort which I appreciate. And two other besties of mine can talk to me for a good hour as well.

same with my family, and close friends, i'll talk to them especially if they live far away, and we'd talk for over an hour and laugh lots. lmao

i had a phone that would turn off at 40 minutes or something because of the battery, so we'd skype instead. lol the battery thing was pissing everyone off, so my husband got a charged battery but by then, skype was easier.

edit - oohhh my man often calls me if he is working outside and on his way home or something

i dont like that, unless he's in traffic, but he wants to talk to me!!!

and i tell him just get the fuck home!!! i'm cooking your fave meal. but don't hurry if you're gonna get a speeding ticket or accident be careful out there.
