The neighbor with multiple wives

My dad befriended this one neighbor during his daily walks... They’ve become pretty good neighbor pals. He likes giving my dad home cooked dishes. My mom doesn’t like that because she feels obligated to do the same when she doesn’t want any involvement cause of what my dad found out later. This guy has multiple “wives” who he each gave a separate house to live in (cause he’s all about that familial peace huh *snorts*). They’re all over the city. He makes his rounds in each every so months. He claims to be religious. From his stories, it’s definitely more than 4 wives… each with their own sets of children. I personally haven’t seen this guy myself. Sure this stuff works back in certain countries but here you can legally have 1 wife…. The others are like girlfriends technically. He constantly has a new kid on the way with one of the wives… just ugh. Can you imagine the legal mess the wives and children will be dealing with if this guy passes away. But yeah, my mom and I don’t like him and how my dad’s befriended him but he’s a grown ass adult so…

Sister Wives series in this very country. Been going on forever. Idk if it had ended but you can still see all of it. 🙄

I haven’t seen it but my parents have yet to witness a huge party with all the wives. Would totally want to crash it if my parents were ever invited to something like that… not that my mom would go tho.

Its not legal anywhere in the states. But calling someone your wife doesn't mean they legally are.

Our tech guy has multiple wives. He has 2, he vacations separately with them.

One takes care of his kids, the other has no kids with him, but takes care of his elderly dad. He rotates holidays and pays all the household bills. They are kept woman who don't have much to worry about and choose this life.

No. His first one is but all 3 or 4 others agreed and I think made some papers. I am sure he has will for children. They seemed pretty fucked up after few years to the show. And of course they had each new house afyer show money started to come.

I am wondering IF they weren’t on the show - how would that go then?

Kids are involved though. So long as they are successfully raised to be personally successful adults.... fuck it.

One of my dad’s brothers had gotten a second wife and let’s just say many suspect she murdered him in his sleep. If that didn’t scare him, nothing will.

The nerdy looking ones are ALWAYS full of surprises. Yeah I do think it’s more respectable than men who go around knocking up women with lots of child support cases hung over their heads. I work in a law firm and we be getting so many surprise child support payment letters that need to be paid from the client’s cut of settlements. I love how none of them ever let us know in advance (:

I have come across poly / open relationships where it turns out 1 member wasn't actually "happy" but not mistreated.

It really depends on what everyone's basic needs in a relationship are.

Are the houses his wives live in even nice?

From the few neighborhoods of the homes I’ve heard of, they’re all in upper middle class areas. This guy is like in his 50s at the least, I don’t know his exact job but he’s in the home building business, he knows his stuff very well from what I hear. He’s managed building million dollar homes but I don’t think he has his own million dollar home for any of the wives. He tries to keep it fair in that department I think… lol

I'm trying to put myself into this type of situation mentally to understand it better. I feel I'm too controlling to share a woman with another man. Then again, if I liked him enough and felt a deep level of trust it could possibly work. I would also be into multiple women, but again there would have to be a deep level of trust and respect between everyone. The second there was jealousy or envy I wouldn't absolutely hate it. This is why I stay alone tbh. It's hard enough to have a good relationship with one person, let alone multiple lmao!

The younger me would never go along with this scenario and most of me still wouldn’t.

But as I get older, fuck it. I suppose I could try being one of the wives if he treats everyone “the same”. In theory, that’s possible but how could it ever be verified? Especially when it comes to sex. It’s also gross…

But considering how expensive everything is and how difficult it is to be a single woman 👩🏼 fighting for herself, perhaps it would not be so bad to be claimed by a good provider.

Men with multiple wives make it their only personality trait. I am absolutely triggered and disgusted by it. 🤢

It wouldn’t be so bad if there weren’t kids involved. The women are old enough to make their own choices, and some women like to have their space.. but kids are a different story. It makes me sad that all those kids won’t have a consistent father in the home.

Then again… that’s the case in a lot of single parent homes anyway. But I agree, I couldn’t do it. I don’t like to share my man. 😆

It's merely sexual for most of those men, they don't give a damn about their children.
