Livestock shows and rodeos.

No more bull riding for me.

No more waking up at 5AM everyday for 7 months to work/clean/train the animals.

No more rushing home from school to go to riding practice and work/clean/train animals.

No more sending those animals pets to die even though we KNEW that was the end goal.

It was good money and something I'd like my kids to get involved in IF they want to. Learned a shitload of things during that whole process.

Fam you know this is one of the most Texas things Ive heard lol but it does seem like you learned alot from it. You put something in there tho that makes me think something from it still kinda sticks to ya. Not in a bad way but in a "Damn...."way if that makes sense

Myself

Wanna go into detail or new?? I feel you the cuz I was the same way

I used to hate the thought of letting go but nowadays, I'm choosing myself. Choosing myself though isn't peaceful because sometimes, all I want are the same people who don't have my best interest. I'm learning to let go so I can really start making room for what counts.

I never actually hated it but when I was a youngin I was never interesting in playing musical instruments. My only interest back then was doing kids things kids would normally do like playing in dirt getting dirty on purpose, playing kick the can, pushing each other on old shopping carts we find in ditches and shit. I never thought I would grow up to have a love and appreciation and an ear for musical instruments.

I never really hated it but would actively avoid it.. organizing. I've always been a list-maker (not saying I cross much off those lists lol but I do tend to make lots of em).. also still figuring out how to have somewhat of a routine cause otherwise I will procrastinate my day away. The older I get the more I'm seeing how productive I actually can be 😬👀🙃

Also again, never really hated it but I love watching all the critters in the yard.

Swimming! It was always something I just tolerated for polo season. Now it’s almost exclusively the only exercise I do. Makes a world of a difference when you don’t have a coach breathing down your neck.

Cooking. I was forced to coparent from a very young age so I hated it so much because I had to do it, now that I choose to I really enjoy it.

Staying at home. High school and well throughout college I was always out. I used to sleep for like 5 hours and then I'm raring to go and party or hang out with friends.

These days I'm like Shrek wanting to be left alone in my little hut in the woods. And this is before the pandemic.

This is me in reverse. I had friends but I didnt party too much. Not until my mid 20s. And it was controlled even then.

Now, I go out more. I just have an itch for it now. Being as closed off as I was back then really set me back a bit

Black coffee. I use to hate coffee, and to even manage drinking it at all I would need a ton of cream/ sugar. As I got older I randomly found a taste for straight black coffee. Something about the grit and heat of it makes me oddly satisfied.

Another thing I used to hate but now love is (yall might find this funny but it's Ok to laugh if you want) candles. Candles being lit up in the dark. I had a phobia of it. Now I find candles to be romantic. I've grown fond of lighting up candles on romantic nights and during candlelight dinners.
