Given that we're all going to die anyway my purpose is to enjoy whatever time I have here. Do the things that I want to do, not what society expects me to do. Spend more money on experiences than material items, when you're looking back on life you won't regret the things you did near as much as those that you wanted to but never did.

Daria
not feeling too positive about life right now?

The feeling of waiting sucks, which is why I try better to live for the moment. It's good to know something nice is pending, but to be 'waiting' for it I think is just a state of mind that some people adopt more than others.
I am just as capable of 'waiting' for something as anybody but if I ever find myself doing this, i'll switch things around in my mind and take on a more enjoyable perception of the situation, be it here and now, future, whatever. There are things i'm looking forward to next week but i'm not preoccupied with the expectation of it, rather i'm enjoying what's going on in my life today. 🙂

I just remember feeling like that when I was younger. same exact thing, like there is no point to all this...and in a way there isn't...nothing definitive anyway.

Lol you're still waiting, though. In living for the moment you're still waiting for something.
You may not know what but you are.
Otherwise you wouldn't have much to keep living for.
That's it: the SURPRISE.
Life is full of them. Which is why in living we're waiting.
We're waiting to be surprised.
Can we escape all this waiting malarky through choice is what i'm asking and are we stuck with it? Is it an actual act or a state of mind? What if I can't be bothered waiting, or don't particularly want to wait?

This is the average human being's life:
Born.
Sent to school.
Come out with a degree.
Work.
Marry.
Raise kids.
Die.
Shit, were we supposed to do these in order? I think my manual must of been misprinted.click to expand

I think I have spent nearly a god fucking hour on how to respond and now I realise im wasting my time. My head has been done in

So from what I gathered from PD, VB and St PP, we're here for the good moments life has to offer.
I could live with that.
My mind doesn't want to shut up, though, which is where Pisces_Dream is right about us humans lol

It's like... all we're here for is to get somewhere else. Somewhere we may never truly get to.
and inbetween 1 and 6 - is the journey of life...what our "mission" on earth is/was, well, i am hoping we find out one day. 😉click to expand

I believe in just taking your chances as they come and seeing what life has in store for you.
exactly. i don't believe in this pseudo-happiness like "life is great" "become a millionaire in two days" you get the picture - blah blah; but i do believe that whatever folds out in front of us in our lifepath, is there for a reason. be that positive or negative.click to expand

is one of those stations animal planet? 🙂

Exactly, just stop asking questions we??re never going to get any answers to anyway. Ter is NO point to why we are here, don't you get it? Must we continupusly remind ourselves of that fact??

Before anyone gives me the whole "you're young" speech, I'm just thinking. It's something people born under aquarius CAN'T stop doing lol
AHHHH It's our biggest gift and our biggest downfall, if you ask me...I think so much and it's often like I have 4 tv stations going off in my mind at one time...and I'm always thinking of these introspective things you think of too, must be an Aqua thing 😛click to expand

You know, the video Satori posted is really comforting.
I don't know about other people, but for me the fear has never been dying. It's what I leave bhind that scares the sh** outta me.
I see old people who walk faster than people my age and it brings me happiness. It makes me know that old age is just a mindset.
You will grow old and die, but you at lest have the smidgen of a choice in how quickly you leave.
My fear is of of course shallow though, since I wanna look good (you know, not found rotting 2 weeks after and whatnot) when I die.
And lol. Yeah, I hear you about looking good, but what I fear most is losing my mind before I die.click to expand

This thread should be called:
"Life as viewed from the Lower Mind"
🙂

Posted by Shaka_laka_boomboom
I dont have any further answers for you my friend, I only recommend you not living your life being stuck on your Lower Mind 🙂 or else you'll be just one of the sheep you described in your first post.

That's fucked up lol No wonder Aquarians don't get along with Cancerians...Most of you just would NEVER understand our thinking. It's just deep thinking...the mind is a powerful thing, but only if you use it once in a while...ha.

...CONTINUED
Some of us believe in Heaven. But you're waiting to get there.
Some of us believe in total blackness and eternal rest. Still waiting.
Some of us believe in reincarnation. Yup. Waiting for another go.
Waiting, waiting, waiting.
That's all we ever do.
We wait for that promotion. For that one true love. For enough money to buy that house.
Waiting, waiting, waiting.
That seems to be the Point of Life, condensed.
Waiting. While time slips on by.
Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, TOCK.
Waiting to live. Waiting to die. Waiting for a better easier existence outside this one or to have another go on this one as someone new.
Waiting for him, waiting for her, waiting for them, waiting for it, waiting for there, waiting for when, waiting for how.
Just...waiting.
What a sad fucking existence you must live. Yeah, you should just off yourself.click to expand

And that btw is what you are waiting for .. it's what are all waiting for.

Wow
Did you not read the thread where I took the time out to talk about my butthole?! LOL
I shit you not, I spoke at length about my butthole.
But, yeah, I'm 23...
I'm seriously in shock!
Most if the time you talk like you are at LEAST 35!
And I'm not surprised you created a thread about your ass... You are an aqua 😉

Born.
Sent to school.
Come out with a degree.
Work.
Marry.
Raise kids.
Die.
A lot of us are at point 3 in our lives right now. Some at point 6.
But for as long some of us can remember we've been clenched fists.
You know? Like you have to hold your breath to actually stay breathing?
We're all like this, in some small way or other.
Tommorow is a blank.
Next week isn't even conceivable.
A year from now? Two? Pssssh.
Marriage? Some of us aren't sure about doing (or doing AGAIN).
Kids? Some of us aren't sure about raising (or raising AGAIN).
Dying... well, we've got no choice in the matter, have we?
Life rarely lets us get our way.
Yet we haven't left. We're still here.
Suicide... isn't an option. Even though it's the quickest way out.
What the f**k are we waiting for? What are we hoping for? To see? To feel? To experience?
We don't know what's coming, do we? We don't know what we're waiting for.
Honestly and truly, we don't.
Yet we're still here.
Hoping...
We're comfortable not knowing.
But only a few of us are comfortable acknowledging that it's a very pathetic existence, indeed.
TO BE CONTINUED...
