It's OMEN spelled backwards!

An omen (also called portent or presage) is a phenomenon that is believed to foretell the future, often signifying the advent of change.[1] Though the word "omen" is usually devoid of reference to the change's nature, hence being possibly either "good" or "bad," the term is more often used in a foreboding sense, as with the word "ominous". The origin of the word is unknown, although it may be connected with the Latin word audire, meaning "to hear."

Update in the northeast:

East hasn't kissed west yet, (some bright sky/dark sky foreplay going on for now), but I do declare that when they do all hell's gonna break loose ..

I'm glad to be on the southern end of it! It's been raining off and on much of the day, but not terribly bad. A few overnight flurries are all that are expected overnight.

Those up North/North East of me, be safe!

I miss all the exciting things. My area is close enough to this storm...but not close enough. We just got a shit ton of rain, like always. I'm so sick of rain. Though, stay safe to all those who are getting hit hard!
