I know many people with taurus moon... some are good friends, others even best and they can all be mushy and sensitive. I mean we're both sensual and mushy, but crab moon less sensual and taurus moon less mushy... The main difference, imo, lies not in sensuality/sentimentality but in emotional expressiveness. Cancer moon becomes emotionally expressive to people close to them and is faster to react, whereas taurus moons are slower to react or show emotion

Taurus moon - Yep I love food. I deal with shit all by myself. Stubborn. Secretive. Unemotional but if I do get the occasional emotions, no amount of persuasion in the world can make me talk about it.
Cancer moon - My son has Cancer moon and he's VERY in tuned with his emotions. Eats a lot too but he's a Taurus so yeah..

Cancer moon eats to relieve the sadness from crying.
In theory, but also personal experience... Taurus Moon peps can be more practical - in the way they express and approach their emotional nature - while Cancer Moon peps - are more feelings oriented (they go with what/how they feel - at a given moment 😅😊🤗 ... 😮😟😞 ). Also moodier if not the moodiest - since the Moon is the ruler of Cancer (: which makes this sign - the most accurate representative - of the fastest celestial in the sky). Thus, the mood of one with Moon in Cancer - changes far more often compared to Taurus Moon peeps - whom, as a fixed sign, could hold onto given mood for quite some time. Ofc, the house where the Moon falls - has a saying as well (and same goes for aspects).
There's also differences - that can induce one in error while judging the two. From the outside. Since they look quite similar. For example: as you mentioned above - Taurus Moon peps might take their time to express a given emotion - which from the outside... looks somehow similar to a Cancer Moon - that retreats in its shell (emotionally).
