Just saw it last night, and I liked it. I went into it with low expectations because I'm an old school trekkie, and I had heard some disturbing things about it. There is one very cheesy scene at the end, but I can overlook that because the rest of the movie was good. Have you guys seen it?

Here's my review on it.

yeah, the cheesy fan-service scene is really cheesy and unnecessary. It was enjoyable. I am an old school trekkie too and I liked that they didn't kill off one of the few interesting races entirely, like they did in the previous movie. And I kind of like cumberbatch and this version of his character is interesting.
My only critique is that the scenario lacked a bit of depth. And I think quinto doesn't make a very good spock, but that's a personal opinion. Karl urban's McCoy is my favorite character of the bunch.
